Your key responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll balance client, business development support, operational and people development. You will advise and support global Supply Chain, Technology and Manufacturing leaders to define and deliver breakthroughs in performance through Industry 4.0 digital Manufacturing programmes.  You will usually be leading workstreams on larger transformation programmes with the support of Senior Consultants and Consultants Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Support manufacturing digitisation superiors with developing strategy, framework, standards and governance in support of Industry 4.0 initiatives  

  • Coordinate the delivery of Industry 4.0 projects and programmes  

  • Develop technical requirements, reference architectures and specifications for digital manufacturing solutions in order to ensure consistent approach  

  • Coordinate Proofs-of-Value efforts to determine digital solutions that eliminate manufacturing losses  

  • Handle the technical design, development, validation and operationalization of digital solutions 

  • Align closely with security and OT teams to ensure implementations meet security requirements  

  • Engineer solutions to ensure scalability and reliability based on requirements and sizing  

  • Integrate solutions with systems and third-party software both on premise or in the cloud

Your experience 

 

Typically, Managers bring practical experience from either a professional services or industry background where you have developed your Manufacturing experience (including Lean), project and programme management. You will understand Industry 4.0 systems landscape and technology standards in a typical factory, and bring experience of leading digital technologies such as: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES); Connected Workforce Platform (CWP); Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS); Machine Vision Systems (MVS); Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). 

 

Our Managers are required to possess good experience in Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 design and programme implementation leadership, designing highly available applications with responsibility for infrastructure robustness.  

 

Ideally, you will also have IoT understanding from connectivity and data management perspective, experience implementing IoT and analytics services and capabilities, and working with applications backed by cloud service. You may have familiarity with Agile and DevOps, or prior experience using application integration or SOA design patterns. 

Technical Skill

Experience

Supply Chain Strategy

Operating Model design, segmentation strategy and inventory optimisation. Understanding the key issues across the end to end supply chain, and potential solutions to improve performance.

Supply Chain Transformation

Leading or being a part of one or many significant supply chain transformation projects with considerable scope and scale. Ideally this spans the design, setup and delivery of supply chain transformations including people, process and technological change.

Digital Supply Chain

Applying or implementing next-generation supply chain technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, cognitive automation and AI, Internet-of-Things (IOT), Blockchain and Big Data analytics.

Supply Chain Analytics

Developing detailed supply chain analytics to deliver enhanced end to end SC visibility (e.g. creating and connecting supply chain models to customer and pricing analytics).

Supply Chain Planning Functional

Demand and supply planning, sales & operations planning, segmentation strategy, inventory optimisation and/or production scheduling.

Supply Chain Planning with Technology

Implementing one of the following technologies (either from a Business Integrator, Systems Integrator or Client role): OMP, Kinaxis, o9, Aera, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, and SAP S/4 HANA.

Manufacturing

Optimisation both in terms of plant level performance improvement (both technology and people) but also holistic manufacturing network optimisation.

Service and Asset Management Transformation

Understanding and knowledge of end to end asset management lifecycle, including Field force, service and asset management transformation. The asset management lifecycle covers strategy, budgeting, sourcing, warehousing and logistics, inventory management, repairs, disposals and asset accounting processes.

Others

Network design and network modelling; understanding of global customs and trade; warehouse design and optimisation; 3PL/4PL or Control Tower management. Understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including procurement strategy, Operating Model, category management, strategic sourcing and deployment of procurement data, technology and analytics.
