The opportunity

 

Reporting to the head of Insights, the Insights Analyst is responsible for delivering impactful analysis and insights for the specific domain in alignment with the Insights Plan. The role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative approach. The Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, providing thought-provoking content to help EY differentiate itself in the marketplace and identify new business opportunities and risks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic:

  • Deliver Impactful Analysis: Provide deep analytical insights aligned with the Insights Plan to support strategic initiatives within the specific domain (e.g. Govt. & Infrastructure, Energy & Industries, Financial Services).
  • Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with domain stakeholders and internal customers to offer commercial perspectives on challenges and opportunities, preparing insightful analyses on market trends.
  • Develop Proprietary Insights: Co-create insights by leveraging EY’s proprietary knowledge and developing unique data sets to support a differentiated point of view.
  • Champion Thought Leadership: Activate external thought leadership by following the EY Insights model and utilizing established methodologies for insight creation.

Operational:

  • Ensure Quality Standards: Adopt common insight methodologies and templates to maintain high-quality deliverables that exemplify a digital-first approach.
  • Foster Connectivity: Enhance collaboration within the domain and across EY by sharing information and convening groups around common issues.
  • Identify Opportunities: Proactively identify materials and credentials relevant to cross-domain initiatives and share them effectively with teams.
  • Manage Multiple Projects: Take ownership of customized projects with a high degree of autonomy, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Talent Management:

  • Build Internal Credibility: Establish a strong internal brand as a subject matter expert, participating in client meetings and external events to enhance EY’s market presence.
  • Mentor Team Members: Coach less-experienced analysts in research, analysis, and data visualization to improve overall team performance.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the issues, trends, and drivers within the specific domain.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global, multicultural, and virtual environment.
  • Effective executive-level presentation skills.
  • Strong skills in research, analysis, data analytics, and visualization.
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to take ownership and manage multiple, highly complex projects simultaneously.

 

Qualification and Experience

 

  • University/Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in strategy, business analysis, industry research, management consulting, or business performance advising organizations in the relevant domain.
