The opportunity

Having the largest geographical footprint in the MENA region, EY is perfectly placed to help the multitude of government entities and businesses change their accounting standards to the latest IFRS standards. We’re looking for ambitious people to help drive and support this change while learning about the intricacies of dealing with diverse clients in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and implement governance policies, ICFR risk management strategies, and board support.
• Evaluate and optimize ICFR processes to meet regulatory standards.
• Support board activities: prepare presentations, draft minutes, advise on governance best practices, and facilitate meetings.
• Conduct assessments and recommend internal controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align governance strategies with organizational goals.

To qualify for this role, you must have

• Bachelor’s in accounting/finance
• Relevant and valid qualifications such as CPA, CIA, ACCA, CRMA, GRCP, GRCA
• Proven experience in governance, ICFR, risk management, or audit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for creating reports, presentations, and data analysis.
• Strong soft skills: communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and client relationship management.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Proficiency in the Arabic language
