Service Delivery Pod Leader - Ballarat

 

The opportunity

 

EY Ballarat Service Delivery Centre provides an alternative delivery model within Australia, decreasing risk to our clients, and increasing efficiency by standardizing repeatable processes. At Ballarat SDC, you will work with EY project teams across Australia to support large-scale client engagements. The Service Delivery Pod Leader will provide a range of financial administration services to the engagement, providing leadership and guidance to Service Delivery Analyst, managing daily workflow allocation, and acting as the primary point of contact for escalations and complex queries.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Performing daily AP/AR tasks, including invoice processing, payment allocations, and vendor account reconciliation, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Supporting team workflows by managing task allocations and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex or high-risk issues related to AP/AR, including discrepancies, vendor disputes, or policy exceptions.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members, fostering a high-performance culture that supports continuous learning, accountability, and alignment with EY’s core values.
  • Contributing to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions to the Service Delivery Manager.

 

What we look for    

 

  • Strong working knowledge of end-to-end AP/AR processes, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and relevant financial systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering an engaged and collaborative team culture.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with a structured, detail-focused approach to managing high volumes of work and competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset, with a desire to make a meaningful impact and drive better ways of working.
  • Previous experience operating in a team leader/supervisor capacity would be beneficial.
