Corporate Tax Analyst – Ballarat Service Delivery Centre
The opportunity
The Service Delivery Centre provides an alternative delivery model in a regional location within Australia, decreasing risk to our clients, and increasing efficiency by standardising repeatable processes. Employees within the hub will work with EY project teams across Australia to support large-scale client engagements.
As our Corporate Tax Analyst, you’ll provide a range of tax compliance support including, but not limited to, activities such as analytical review of tax calculations and returns, mapping accounting data to apply tax rules, and review of transactions for tax sensitive items.
This is a hybrid position based in Ballarat. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Preparing tax mapping and rules to apply to accounting data based on pre-defined inputs;
- Analytical review of calculations and disclosures using PowerBI dashboards;
- Preparation of client queries;
- Review of outcomes applied to transactional data for tax sensitive items and anomalies;
- Accessing client infrastructure and extracting/ managing client data
- Answering enquiries via Outlook email or Teams
- Creating or managing documents in Powerpoint and SharePoint
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SharePoint
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Time management and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and grow, with ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a team
- Natural aptitude for reviewing large volumes of data, with a strong attention to detail
- Reliable and responsive with a structured and focused approach to assigned tasks
- Strong focus on efficiency, productivity, and quality
- Desire to have a meaningful impact and contribute to building a better working world
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Suite (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps)
- Experience in financial accounting
- Experience in corporate income tax
