Your key responsibilities

• Delivery of high-quality tax services that meet client expectations
• have a wide variety of challenging responsibilities
• have an opportunity to play a key role in a specific and growing area in EY’s tax practice
• develop skills and knowledge, including tax law, presentation and educational seminar planning and delivery, facilitation, project management, risk judgment and business development.
• Thoroughly and accurately analyzing information;
• Preparing practical, professional, competent, effective and creative solutions to client’s situation; arriving at appropriate engagement conclusions, recommendations and implementation plans;
• Making quality decisions in the more complex, judgmental areas after consulting with others;
• Preparing for meetings with target management teams;
• Preparing reports that will be delivered to clients and other parties;
• Maintaining positive relationships both with the team members and client personnel.

Skills and attributes for success

• Supporting the planning, executing and delivering in tax engagements

• Working effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
• Assisting in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
• Building strong internal relationships within EY Tax and across other services
• Coaching, supervising and conducting performance review and contributing to performance feedback for staff
• Maintaining an educational program to continually develop personal skills of all staff
• Demonstrable experience in delivering quality outputs to clients;
• Analyzing, processing and structuring information (data);
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• University degree majoring in the field of economics, finance, accounting, and joint law
• Tax background, good knowledge of financial accounting and tax legislation
• Strong MS Office skills
• Ideally, at least two years of experience as Senior Tax specialist or similar position, overall minimum four years of experience in tax consulting or accounting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Azerbaijani
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to work in teams
• Organizational skills, analytical ability and detail focused Bilingual (spoken and written)
• Having ACCA papers will be an asset

• Willingness to collaborate with government, commercial and industrial companies.
