EY Azerbaijan is launching the EY Tax Student of the Year competition — a unique opportunity for high-performing students to experience the world of Tax and fast-track their career with EY.

This one-day competition is designed as an interactive assessment experience, where selected participants will work on a real-life tax case prepared by EY professionals and present their solutions to a panel of Tax Managers and Partners.

Top candidates will be considered for potential junior positions within EY.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate strong potential and interest in building a career in Tax:

• Final-year students or recent graduates in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related fields
• Basic knowledge or strong interest in taxation, with an understanding of financial accounting fundamentals
• Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Azerbaijani
• Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• A proactive and motivated mindset with willingness to learn
• Ability to approach problems in a structured and practical way

Selection process

• Application submission
• Screening and initial assessment
• Shortlisting of 20–30 participants
• Case study preparation
• Final presentations at EY
