At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

From small businesses to some of the world’s best-known brands, our clients count on reliable financial statements, information and processes to inform their ongoing strategies. More than ever, business is about interpreting and reacting to complex data — and they look to us for advice and services they can trust every time. You’ll use your professional skills and experience to make it happen, handling complex audit procedures across a broad range of industries and responsibilities.

The opportunity

Working at EY as an Audit Manager you will acquire the experience and skill set necessary to become a leader of the future whilst delivering high-quality and efficient audits and projects. We offer you the opportunity to get acquainted with a large variety of clients, most of them are well-established brands with an international reach.

EY has invested heavily in data analysis tools that support auditors in their day-to-day life. This reduces the level of manual testing and allows us to carry out audits much more efficiently.

Your key responsibilities

As an Audit Manager, your job will be to provide independent verification of our client’s compliance with accounting principles. By doing so, you play an important role in helping businesses accurately reflect their financial picture and, in turn, protect financial markets.

Your client responsibilities:

  • Execute the audit process effectively with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters;
  • Implement fieldwork on clients' sites and liaise with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the audit process;
  • Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS and/or US GAAP) and in related financial reporting matters;
  • Establish proficiency in using our EY Global Audit Methodology to perform an assurance engagement in compliance with International Standards of Auditing (ISA) and/or US PCAOB Auditing Standards;

Skills and attributes for success

  • Supporting the planning, executing, and delivering of assurance engagements
  • Working effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress
  • Assisting in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
  • Building strong internal relationships within EY Assurance and across other services
  • Coaching, supervising, and conducting performance reviews and contributing to performance feedback for staff
  • Maintaining an educational program to continually develop the personal skills of all staff

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Graduates from Finance/Audit/Economics/Accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques
  • At least 5 years of work experience with audit clients in the following sectors: either Telecommunications, Oil&Gas or GFS;
  • Experience in the entire audit process
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
  • ACCA affiliate/member.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  •    Understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies
  •    Understanding of Q&RM procedures
  •    Compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements
  •    Good written and verbal knowledge of Azerbaijani, English
  •    Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

What we look for

We’re interested in leaders with a genuine creative vision and the confidence to make it happen. You can expect plenty of autonomy in this role, so you’ll also need the ability to take initiative and seek out opportunities to improve our current relationships and processes. We are looking for flexible professionals who can work in shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry. You will need strategic skills and executive presence to give authoritative, realistic advice every time. If you’re serious about auditing and ready to take on some of our client’s most complex issues, this role is for you.

What we offer

We offer a competitive compensation package where you will be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. In addition, our rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, a minimum of five weeks of vacation, and a range of programs and benefits designed to support your physical, financial, and social well-being. Plus, we offer:

  • Continuous learning: You’ll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.
  • Success as defined by you: We’ll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.
  • Transformative leadership: We’ll give you the insights, coaching, and confidence to be the leader the world needs.
  • Diverse and inclusive culture: You’ll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.

If you can demonstrate that you meet the criteria above, please contact us as soon as possible.
