As a Staff / Assistant in our Indirect Tax team, you’ll begin your career working alongside experienced tax professionals, supporting clients with GST and Global Trade matters across New Zealand. This is an exciting opportunity to build strong technical foundations, learn on the job and develop your career within EY’s market‑leading tax practice.

Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities   

 

  • Support the delivery of GST and Global Trade work, including compliance and advisory engagements
  • Assist with our GST compliance portfolio and provide support with indirect tax advice and projects.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high‑quality outcomes for clients
  • Learn and apply EY methodologies, systems and technical knowledge

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

 

  • A degree in accounting, commerce, law or a related discipline, or working towards one
  • An interest in GST and Global Trade, with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, team‑focused attitude and eagerness to build a career at EY
