As a Senior Consultant in our Indirect Tax team, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality GST and Global Trade advice to a broad range of clients across New Zealand. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and clients, develop strong technical capability, and support the growth of our people through collaboration and coaching.
This role offers the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, take ownership of client engagements and build a long‑term career within EY’s market‑leading tax practice.
Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities
- Deliver practical and technically sound advice on GST and Global Trade, supporting clients with compliance, transactions and advisory matters
- Manage day‑to‑day client engagements, including preparing and reviewing indirect tax deliverables
- Build trusted relationships with clients and collaborate with colleagues across EY to deliver integrated solutions
- Support the development of junior team members through coaching and knowledge sharing

- Experience in GST / Global Trade gained in a professional services firm or in‑house tax environment in New Zealand
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and confidently
- A collaborative mindset and the confidence to take ownership of your work and client relationships
- A genuine interest in developing your technical expertise and progressing your career at EY
