As a data strategy and health sector focused Consultant or Senior Consultant in the AI & Data service line at EY, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients with strategy development and execution of high-impact projects. You will work directly with clients to help understand their business needs, shape data strategy, and design and implement AI & Data solutions that drive measurable value. 

 

Key activities will include: 

  • Supporting project delivery, and other team members, and assisting in enabling the successful delivery of internal and external initiatives. 

  • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in data strategy, health, AI and data science, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our service offerings.  

  • Helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and data, ultimately enabling them to achieve their strategic goals. 

 

This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Aotearoa. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project planning and management, data strategy, data management/engineering, data analytics and visualisation, and artificial intelligence, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to business problems in a consulting or healthcare context.  

  

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.             

  • Track record of delivering population health/clinical service analysis or business analysis or data strategy projects. 

  • Experience of New Zealand health data and/or systems, with experience in health research, with health providers and/or professional services, and evidence in leading or supporting a variety of data projects. 

  • Support with the delivery of AI and Data projects from inception to completion, consistently ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes. 

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored AI and data solutions that drive value and achieve strategic objectives. 

  • Support in the design, and development and implementation of analytics models, and AI solutions to solve complex business problems 

  • Experience using Snowflake, SQL, R and Excel preferred 

  • Support team members, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. 

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. 

  • A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Public Health, Statistics or another related field.
