As our Senior Consultant – Technology PMO & Programme Delivery you’ll play a critical role supporting the successful delivery of complex technology and business transformation programmes. Working alongside programme directors, project managers, architects, and client stakeholders, you'll establish and drive programme governance, resource management, financial controls, reporting, planning, risk management, and delivery assurance activities. You will help leadership teams make informed decisions by providing transparency across programme performance, resourcing, commercials, and delivery outcomes, ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered effectively and realise their intended benefits.

 

This is a hybrid position is based in our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities 

 

  • Support and operate PMO governance processes across large technology and transformation programmes, providing leadership with accurate reporting, forecasting, risk insights, and decision support.
  • Coordinate programme planning, resource management, financial tracking, scope governance, change control, and delivery assurance activities to support successful programme outcomes.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, project managers, and delivery teams to drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across complex, multi-vendor technology initiatives.

 

Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Demonstrated experience working within a PMO or Programme Management on large technology or transformation programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of programme governance, portfolio reporting, RAID management, resource planning, forecasting, financial management, and change control processes.
  • Experience using project and portfolio management tools and reporting solutions to support executive decision-making.
  • Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

 

  • Experience supporting enterprise technology programmes such as ERP or Systems Transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across project teams, vendors, senior leadership, and client stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex delivery information into concise executive reporting and recommendations.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced programme environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
