The opportunity

 

We are looking for a Senior Consultant within the Valuations, Modelling and Economics team. The role is available in Auckland and is offered on a Permanent, full-time basis. The role offers a great opportunity for career development working in a high-performing team.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Conducting financial analysis, preparing reports and advising on matters such as the value of businesses, value of long-term incentive schemes, dividend policies, capital structure and general corporate finance advice.

  • Conducting financial model builds or reviews to support clients in strategic and operational decision making across a range of industries.

  • Understanding clients’ business needs and providing insights on valuation and modelling matters.

  • Supporting the team by guiding and coaching team members both in the preparation of client deliverables and informal ad-hoc help.

 

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have : 

 

  • A track record of strong performance in corporate finance, including valuation and financial modelling

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills including an advanced level of MS Excel and financial modelling

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with internal and external contacts.

  • The ability to write clear and concise reports / client deliverables

  • A commitment to a strong positive team culture and enthusiasm for developing and coaching junior team members.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • A degree qualification in a related discipline such as Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics

  • Relevant experience (this may include a consulting or accounting environment, banking, or relevant corporate roles)

  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CA or CFA), which you may either have completed already or are currently progressing towards
