We work globally and collaborate to bring professional teams together to address complex issues relating to organisation and workforce transformations. Our EY professionals ask better questions and work with clients to create holistic, innovative answers that deliver quality results.
This role can be based in either Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) or Pōneke (Wellington).

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our People Consulting team in Auckland or Wellington. We are looking for fresh ideas and an innovative mind to help lead this high performing team. People Consulting helps organisations solve some of their largest and most complex people-related challenges.
As a Manager you will work within engagement teams to deliver workforce solutions for clients and deliver projects across the full change spectrum. You will:
- Proven experience in the delivery of challenging projects across a diverse range of organisations
- Design and develop the implementation of solutions, develop recommendations and reports, lead client presentations
- Manage the delivery of complex projects, applying sound judgment to identify and resolve issues, ensuring successful delivery of people-related projects and initiatives
- Lead engagement with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice and support on change and learning projects
- Support the growth and development of Consultants and Senior Consultants through providing coaching, guidance and opportunities to learn.

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.
- Demonstrated proficiency in key concepts and principles related to at least one of our key areas;
- Change Management – including change strategy and planning, stakeholder analysis and management, communications strategy and execution, business readiness, change sponsorship, training needs analysis, learning content design, employee experience. Experience advising change or learning programs involving digital platforms including SAP, Microsoft, or ServiceNow or emerging technologies such as AI is beneficial.
- HR Transformation (or other business process transformation) – including HR strategy alignment, payroll, HR outsourcing, HR technology and HRIS, HR process and policy design and HR risk assessment
- Talent Management - including operating model and organisation design, workforce analytics and workforce planning, workforce strategy (retention planning, succession planning).
- Commercially and strategically driven, you will have at least five year’s experience in a consulting role and will have demonstrated experience in developing client relationships, built upon developing solutions to meet client needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships, engage diverse stakeholders, and clearly convey complex ideas using appropriate techniques, including storytelling.
- Project management experience and ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- Experience leveraging digital and AI tools to enhance processes, drive data-driven decision-making, and support organisational transformation.
