As a GCR Tax Manager, your main objective is to achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, informing them of our scope of services and communicating how these services benefit their organizations.  EY GCR services help companies achieve their strategic objectives for outsourcing their compliance and reporting functions at a local, regional and global level.   This role is based in Auckland.

 

As an APTC Global Compliance & Reporting Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Manage and coordinate tax compliance and tax advisory engagements
  • Develop budgets, determine resource requirements, and direct / monitor engagements
  • Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure exceptional client service
  • Team with tax professionals in other sub-service lines to provide comprehensive tax services
  • Oversee the compliance management process and adapt to challenges in the process
  • Participate in managing a compliance group by assisting with forecasting future compliance work, delegating work effectively, and resolving related issues
  • Contribute to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture

  • University degree with a minimum of 5 years (Manager) of relevant business tax experience
  • CA or other relevant certification (obtained or in process) would be advantageous but not mandatory
  • Excellent supervisory, analytical, organizational, and leadership ability
  • Proven ability of managing complex and sizable assignments
  • A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills to work on multiple projects and engagements concurrently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - ability to interact across borders with a wide network of people
  • Proactive and a good team player

The salary range for this role is expected to be $107,000 NZD to $117,000 NZD dependent on skills and experience. This full-time role is for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
