The opportunity 

Our clients are seeking to hire a new type of Transformation Management expert – one who provides strategic guidance but is also deeply embedded in the delivery and success of their programs. Traditional suppliers - such as strategy houses, systems integrators and engineering project management consultants - cannot provide the complete service our clients now demand. Our insights and capabilities across all portfolio levels in planning, analysis and delivery are integrated into our core offerings and this exemplifies our unique viewpoint over traditional program management. We also provide services that focus on 'bridging the gap between Execution and Strategy. This is done primarily by designing and implementing strategic frameworks and solutions that allow companies to make data-driven decisions to optimize and manage portfolios and programs/projects. With digital transformations being a focus of EY, we have incorporated technology into our processes, automating manual work and enabling us to  

provide greater insights and value to our clients. 

 

Your key responsibilities 

A successful Transformation Management Manager will work with our clients to establish a TMO, PMO or EPMO infrastructure to mobilize and manage programs by applying a proven EY framework and methodology based on industry recognized global standards. For these projects, you will be leading a team and teaming with engagement leadership to design, establish and operate day to day program, project and governance structures, track performance, and complete status and benefit realization across workstreams.  

You will support a knowledgeable team with experience in planning, controlling and execution of complex programs, PMO's and Transformation Offices. In your role, you will gain key insights and drive strategic conversations with our clients.   

You will also have the opportunity to work directly with clients to analyze business problems and design Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) processes that address the client's current needs. Additionally, PPM Business Solutions team members work closely with our PPM Technology Solutions team to creatively leverage technology to support processes as part of the overall solution design.  

For these engagements, you'll focus on transforming the organization's ability to plan and control portfolios, and manage programs/projects through: 

• Assessments, Process Design 

• Capability Roadmap Development 

• PMO Setup & OperationsPage 2 

• Automation & Digital Enablement

  • Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.  
  • Identify opportunities to expand current offerings and initiate conversations with client

To qualify for the role you must have  

  • A bachelor's or master's degree  
  • Approximately 5+ years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience providing advisory services in leading Program Management function in at least one of the following areas:  
  • PMO/EPMO design/set up and delivery, Program road-mapping design, PMO maturity assessment, End-to End ERP implementation, End-to End Portfolio and Program Management implementation, Transformation Office design/set up and delivery.  
  • Project and Portfolio Management process design work in at least one of the following areas; Assessments, Process Design, Capability Roadmap Development, PMO Setup & Operations, Data Framework and Design and Automation & Digital Enablement. 
  • Proven success in leading and developing a team of staff/senior consulting professionals and managing engagement economics.  
  • Portfolio and Program Tool expertise such as: MS Project, Clarity, Primavera, MS Server, Plainview, Niku HP, Azure Dev Ops, or Jira 
  • PM Methodology expertise such as: Agile, Scrum, Waterfall 
  • Experience driving pursuit efforts. Experience with the end-to-end RFP process (RFP, Response, proposal, Client Presentation, SOW and Execution) and understanding of client procurement processes. Experience supervising proposal-writing and presenting during RFP process  
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills  
  • A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness to travel to meet client needs and ability to travel internationally; travel is estimated at 65- 75%

Ideally, you'll also have 

  • A bachelors or master's degree with an emphasis in Computer Systems, Engineering, Economics and/or Business.  
  • Potential certifications include: CPA, PMP, Six Sigma and/or Certified SAP Solution Manager, Scrum, Agile SAFe  
  • ​Sector experience in areas such as Automotive, Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility, Consumer Products and Goods, Media and Entertainment, Life Sciences, and Consumer Products
