Consulting - Cybersecurity - Identity and Access Management - Manager
At EY, we are all in to shape your future with confidence. We will help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.
The opportunity
As a Manager in Cybersecurity, you will help clients modernize enterprise identity environments across on-premises Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and related directory services. You will work with clients to simplify identity architecture, strengthen access controls and support Zero Trust transformation while helping teams deliver complex programs with quality, clarity and measurable outcomes. This role is a fit for professionals who can balance hands-on identity expertise with client advisory, delivery leadership and team development.
Your key responsibilities
-
Planning and leading Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID modernization engagements, including upgrades, migrations, consolidations and hybrid identity programs.
-
Translating business, security and regulatory needs into practical identity architecture, migration approaches, governance models and operating practices.
-
Guiding delivery teams across workstreams, timelines, risks, technical decisions and stakeholder communications.
-
Advising clients on identity controls such as multifactor authentication, conditional access, privileged access, identity governance and monitoring.
-
Supporting proposals, client discussions and the development of reusable assets that help EY teams deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
Skills and attributes for success
You will need the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, make sound recommendations with incomplete information and build trusted relationships with clients and EY teams. You should be comfortable leading teams, documenting decisions, managing delivery risks and using practical problem-solving to move complex identity programs forward.
To qualify for the role, you must have
-
Experience delivering identity and access management or directory services programs, with hands-on knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
-
Experience with directory design, migration planning, group policy, DNS, replication, hybrid identity, single sign-on and authentication controls.
-
Familiarity with identity security capabilities such as conditional access, multifactor authentication, privileged identity management, access reviews and identity governance.
-
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
Ideally, you will have
-
Experience with SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, Radiant Logic, ServiceNow or other adjacent identity, governance, privileged access or IT service management platforms.
-
Microsoft identity, cloud, security, governance, ITIL or related certifications.
-
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation, merger, divestiture, domain consolidation or Zero Trust programs.
-
Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
What we look for
We are looking for professionals who can lead with clarity, collaborate across teams and help clients make identity programs actionable. You will be successful in this role if you can connect technical decisions to business outcomes, coach team members and support clients through change with practical recommendations and strong delivery discipline.
