The opportunity
Designs, develops, and implements the marketing strategy for audit technology marketing. Conducts market analysis and audience segmentation to run successful marketing campaigns. This role translates business strategy into scalable, measurable, and market-facing marketing programs that drive growth, strengthen brand positioning, and deepen client and market engagement.
Operating as a strategic partner to business and marketing leadership, the Associate Director owns the audit technology marketing portfolio end-to-end, including direction, prioritization, investment planning, and establishing and maintaining the operating rhythm needed to deliver outcomes. Leads cross-functional teams including professionals across the business and at all levels to deliver modern integrated marketing programs, drive measurable impact and continuously improve how marketing serves the business. Partners closely with the Audit Marketing Leader to integrate the audit technology marketing strategy, narrative and activation roadmap into the broader audit go-to-market approach.
Your key responsibilities
Go To Market Strategy & Leadership

Translate business priorities into a clear strategic marketing approach (target audiences, messaging direction, and activation roadmap) that guides team execution focused on audit technology.

Develop and oversee market-facing strategy for audit technology marketing.

Confidently serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership (i.e. industry, service line, alliances, field or entrepreneurship) to shape market approach and activation.

Own portfolio prioritization and trade-offs across initiatives; ensure the team focuses on the highest-impact work and reduces fragmentation/duplication.

Manage agency and external partner relationships, anchored to specific business objectives, targeting and KPIs for each initiative.

Partner with enabling teams (e.g., digital, marketing automation, analytics, communications, BD) to scale effective approaches and remove execution friction.
Content, Narrative & Market Presence

Set strategic narrative and messaging frameworks for priority markets, growth themes and key offerings to ensure consistent, differentiated market presence.

Ensure brand, quality, and risk alignment across outputs, applying appropriate governance and review disciplines.
People Leadership & Operating Model

Set priorities, coach business leaders, and build a high-performing, inclusive team culture.

Hold the team accountable to priorities, milestones, and performance outcomes; address execution gaps, remove blockers, and ensure follow-through.

Build capability and capacity within the team through ongoing development, feedback, and modern marketing skill building.
Stakeholder Partnership & Influence

Serve as the trusted marketing advisor to senior business leaders (i.e. industry, service line, alliances, geo, entrepreneurship) to shape market-facing strategy and activation.

Build and maintain deep, trusted relationships with key stakeholders and marketing leaders; proactively identify opportunities, surface risks, and drive alignment on priorities and decisions.

Drive integration across marketing, BD, communications, and digital teams to deliver cohesive execution and a consistent market presence for audit technology.

Represent marketing leadership in priority forums; influence decision-making through data, insight and clear recommendations.
Skills and attributes for success

Deep expertise in modern B2B marketing and go-to-market strategy.

Demonstratable experience in translating technical content into market-facing materials that demonstrate business value.

Strong commercial acumen and executive presence; able to influence senior stakeholders and operate as a trusted advisor.

Proven ability to lead teams and drive outcomes in complex, matrixed organizations.

Strong strategic thinking paired with operational excellence, able to translate ambiguity into clear direction, priorities, and delivery plans.

Demonstrated ability to use data, analytics, and technology to measure impact and optimize marketing investments.

Excellent communication skills, including executive-level storytelling, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership.
To qualify you must have

BA/BS degree or relevant experience.
-
No less than 8–10 years relevant experience.
-
Usually has responsibility for three-to-five subordinate staff members. Frequently accomplishes day-to-day tasks through subordinate professionals with little direction.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:

- New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $154,300 to $277,700
- Bay Area California offices – $160,700 to $289,300
- All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $128,600 to $254,600
- Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
