The opportunity

For our Finance Consulting team, offering services to CFO’s and addressing every single aspect of the CFO agenda, we are looking for experienced professionals, excited about growing their careers through assisting clients in financial and regulatory reporting, finance transformation (process optimization, target operating model and system implementation) and more innovative topics such as the use of predictive analytics in support of business planning and the use of interactive dashboarding to enhance management reporting. By performing  end-to-end support and transformations and cultivating EY talent, we play a key role in building the future of finance. In this job, you will thus be in the front row to delivering projects that address the CFO’s most significant challenges.

 

Key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant / Manager, you will collaborate with our clients to understand the challenges that face their business and help implement a tailored solution. You will also contribute to the development of the competence team and EY as a whole. 

 

You will serve key clients, supporting them to respond to stakeholders’ expectations with respect to financial, regulatory and management reporting (content, compliance, efficiency, quality and controls). You will have the opportunity to make a real difference during a time of exciting growth and help build trust in a changing economic and regulatory environment. 

 

Some examples of how you will drive our client’s finance department to the next level:

 

  • Improving the finance statements closing process, consolidation process and overall reporting cycle
  • Incorporation of ESG in the finance function
  • Provide consulting services on the reporting and consolidation processes  
  • Enhancing the decision making process by optimizing the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Supporting as a functional Finance expert in the implementation of finance tools (ERP, Consolidation, Controlling, Reporting and Visualization tools)
  • Conducting analyses on financial statements, management and regulatory reporting

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Excellent academic record, ideally including a postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering and/or other related field.
  • Between 3 and 10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting role, including management or regulatory reporting, or equivalent audit or consulting experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Solid communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Proficient level of business English
  • A can-do mentality
  • Loving the challenge to connect with different people in an organization (from expert to CFO)
  • Combining a passion for figures with recognizing the importance of a good team spirit 

Ideally, you’ll also have 

  • Finance related professional qualification completed or in progress (e.g., CFA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Good working knowledge of finance technology, including but not limited to ERP, Planning and Budgeting, Reporting/Visualization systems & tools.
  • Demonstration of integrity, values, principles, and work ethic.
  • Experience with ESG-related topics
  • Consulting, Audit or Project Management experience is an asset
