The opportunity

EY has a powerful purpose: Building a better working world. The Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team has an ambitious plan to accelerate and unlock the power of this purpose both inside and outside the organization so that the brand becomes a more potent driving force toward EY’s growth ambitions. We have a new opportunity for a BMC Executive who will play an active role in helping to achieve this objective by developing and implementing external communications (press office, media relations) campaigns and various strategic go-to-market initiatives, that enhance and protect EY’s reputation in the media and with key external stakeholders.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and project management of EY’s press office activities in Greece, contributing to the formulation and implementation of PR and media relations strategies around key narratives that support the firm’s BMC Strategy and identified areas of strategic importance for EY’s business in Greece (e.g., sector-specific comms initiatives, promotion of services, etc.).
  • Support EY’s Press Officer in maintaining and developing EY’s media network, upholding and promoting EY’s image in the Greek market
  • Copywrite press material in Greek and English, such as press releases, interviews, articles, statements, media briefings, etc.
  • Copywrite speeches
  • Conduct in-depth research for market trends, identify suitable media opportunities for EY leaders and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to better promote EY’s messaging in suitable media (online, print, TV, radio & podcasts)
  • Actively contribute to the project management of various strategic go-to-market initiatives for EY in Greece, such as local surveys and studies, by researching, proofreading and copywriting
  • Help create content for EY’s English and Greek website
  • Propose and coordinate the implementation of ideas, concepts, and various marketing & communications projects

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Excellent copywriting, copyediting and proofreading skills, in both Greek and English (native speaker level)
  • Excellent project, time, and risk management skills
  • Critical and analytical thinking, with advanced research skills
  • Results-oriented approach with keen attention to detail, self-motivation and desire to exceed expectations
  • Strong team player, comfortable with working collaboratively, virtually, and independently
  • Ability to translate complex information into simple, high-impact messages and high-quality deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills; able to effectively liaise with senior company leaders as well as a broad range of internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Ability to develop material from scratch, and to innovate, identifying new growth opportunities
  • Proficient use of digital tools and means of communication


To qualify for the role you must have 

  • 2 to 3 years of proven marketing and copywriting working experience
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree (preferably but not necessarily in Journalism, Linguistics, Political Science or adjacent fields)
  • Possess a deep understanding of the media landscape and the changing trends (media resources in online and print business and financial media, and other media channels, will be considered a plus).
  • Excellent writing, editing and content packaging skills
  • Organized and articulate, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and advanced research skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, complex, yet dynamic work environment and able to multitask on a variety of different projects
  • Experience in project management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other knowledge management tools
  • Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English (both speaking and writing)

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Working experience in a well-structured marketing department of a multinational organization
