Due to rapid expansion, EY-Parthenon Greece is seeking talented and ambitious Senior Project Consultants to join our Athens team. You will work in a multinational environment on challenging projects, gaining exposure to various sectors and contributing to transformative initiatives in the energy domain.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex, cross-functional project portfolios in the energy sector, often within established Project Management Offices or specialized units.
- Monitor program progress and engage stakeholders to ensure successful execution of strategic goals.
- Lead business development activities, including preparing proposals, attending sales meetings, and supporting practice growth initiatives.
- Advise clients across sectors, providing deep analysis and actionable insights to key decision makers.
- Coordinate team deliverables, mentor junior team members, and ensure timely completion of work under tight deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, offering influence, advice, and support.
- Apply technical skills and intellectual curiosity across project lifecycles, adapting to new challenges and ideas.
Skills and Attributes for Success
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university, preferably in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years in financial, feasibility, or investment planning for infrastructure, energy, environment, or utilities projects.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale strategic projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in energy and/or infrastructure and/or environmental projects (e.g. oil & gas, renewables, utilities, clean energies, electrification, energy efficiency, waste, emissions management).
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both Greek and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint, with experience producing high-quality reports and presentations.
- Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness.
- Strong team participation, time management, and flexibility to work alongside team members.
- Strong project management and multitasking abilities, with a personal drive and initiative.
- Strong risk management and strategic program execution skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Professionalism and consistency in client and internal work.
- Ability to coach and mentor others, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Master’s degree (MBA or similar).
- Advisory experience with government or private clients, preferably in a major consultancy.
- Experience across multiple sectors and markets.
- Track record of successful project delivery and team management.
- Ability to link operational analysis to financial statements and understand strategic implications.
