The opportunity
The Greek EY Strategy & Transactions (SaT) practice is the leader in Greece and South-Eastern Europe in professional financial advisory services market. Within SaT, our Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy team plays a critical role in advising high-profile clients during urgent, high-stakes situations that demand immediate action, clear judgment, and deep expertise.
We specialize in distressed M&A, reshaping results, financial restructuring, and stakeholder management—supporting businesses through periods of pressure or fundamental transformation. Our integrated team delivers tailored, pragmatic solutions, built on world-class strategic, operational, and financial insights.
Whether it’s preparing a robust Business Plan to ensure a company’s future or navigating complex cross-border special situations, we work at a fast pace with private equity firms, banks, corporates, and investors, supporting them to execute decisions that create long-term value under short-term pressure.

Your key responsibilities
- You’ll be working in a professional environment alongside a vibrant and exciting team of experienced financial professionals on a variety of projects across a wide range of sectors.
- As a financial consultant, you will be a vital member of the team executing financial advisory projects. You’ll be focused on understanding the client’s business, profit drivers and trends, help clients mitigate risks and improve deal structures.
- Your experience will be diverse, with each project offering new opportunities to expand your technical expertise over a wide range of sectors.
- Learn and develop technical and personal skills to support achievement of career goals, through a blend of structured learning, coaching and experiences.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Excellent academic background, including a bachelor’s degree from a top tier university in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Auditing / Economics, or any other related field a with a strong quantitative focus
- 1-3 years of relevant working experience, ideally in a Corporate Finance department, or Big4 professional services firm
- Excellent written and verbal skills both in Greek and English
- Excellent knowledge in MS Office packages, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong numerical / analytical ability, with corporate finance and financial accounting knowledge and experience
- Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent project management, attention to detail, communication, problem solving, interpersonal and teaming skills
- Willingness to learn, proactivity and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas, while working in a multicultural corporate environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
- An active CPA/ACCA/ACA/CFA certification (or in a final stage of completion)
- A master’s degree from a top tier university in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Auditing, or any other related field, with a strong quantitative focus
- Accounting knowledge and experience (IFRS and Greek GAAP)
- Solid negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
