The opportunity

Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability.

 

Join our Finance team and you will help enable EY client account teams and management to run the business effectively.  You’ll help to improve engagement profitability, manage enterprise-wide risk and support market development activities.  You will support EY planning, reporting and forecasting and analysis, or help EY people manage day-to-day activities, such as managing engagements, process and auditing time and expense or invoice processing.  You’ll also work with other parts of our organisation, sharing your financial experience and insights to achieve specific goals. You’ll get all the support you need to stay on top of regulations — and the advice and help you will need to meet your own professional goals.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end billing process in SAP and authorized billing platform, follow agreed procedure and criteria and ensure compliance with statutory and tax regulations
  • Liaise directly with internal business teams and external provider to achieve timely and appropriate issuance of client invoices
  • Be integral part of Accounts Receivable team, monitor and support client collections: regularly review accounts to identify overdue payments, compile and analyze data related to Accounts Receivable, provide regular and timely reports
  • Address payment issues, reconcile account discrepancies and handle disputes
  • Collaborate with the rest of Inhouse Finance team in billing and accounts receivable reconciliations
  • Support internal and external audits and liaise with statutory auditors
  • Deal with any ad hoc projects and requests from the business partners
  • Report to the Head of Accounting on a regular basis

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Excellent academic background, including a bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / economics / business administration, or any other related field with a strong quantitative focus
  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience
  • Excellent written and verbal skills both in Greek and English
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office packages, in particular, MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong numerical / analytical ability, with financial accounting knowledge
  • Excellent team participation, communication, attention to detail, critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Strong work initiative, willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas, while working in a multicultural corporate environment
  • Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work, internal business, and practice development

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A Master’s Degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics, or similar
  • Experience and knowledge of SAP ERP accounting system
  • Experience in a Big four professional services firm
