EY’s Supply Chain & Operations practice supports clients across different domains: Supply Chain, Procurement, Service Excellence and (Digital) Manufacturing. In this role as Senior Consultant Manufacturing Excellence, your focus will be operational excellence transformation for Manufacturing & Warehousing. Additionally, you have the flexibility to work in the other domains.

Your new job | About your main responsibilities   

As Senior Consultant Manufacturing Excellence you will be the driving force behind challenging transformative projects that significantly improve our clients' business performance. In our Manufacturing Excellence domain, we help leading companies with optimizing their manufacturing and warehousing operations processes. This ranges from organization-wide operating model re-design and restructuring, to plant, department and process improvements, as well as implementing digital transformation journeys for (shop floor) operations. We look at processes, systems, organization and performance management, while also taking behaviour and leadership into account. Total Productive Management (TPM) and Lean principles and philosophy play an important role. Projects typically consist of an analysis and advice phase followed by the implementation of the recommendations.

Your new team | About your colleagues and the office    

As a Senior Consultant Manufacturing Excellence, your role will be to implement projects within the context of the client programs. You will work with the implementation teams and the stakeholders within the client organization. Our activities are always focused on adding value to the customer’s business. Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will start to build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers.

Your Office  

Our Amsterdam office is located at the Zuidas: a bustling area full of companies. In our Cross Towers, we welcome up to 1,500 people every day. For a breathtaking view of the city, head to the 22nd floor. Collaboration takes on a new meaning in our Wavespace, a high-tech environment that connects clients and colleagues virtually across the globe.     

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution  

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in industry or consultancy, within the field of manufacturing/warehousing operational excellence transformation. You have a passion for Manufacturing and enjoy driving for improvements.
• A Master's degree in the field of operations management or a technical/engineering discipline.
• Fluent in English and at least one other European language.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Strong communication, influencing and people skills.
• Result-driven, with the ability to be pragmatic in execution of projects and conceptual thinking.
• You are open to working abroad.
• Experience with data analytics in an industrial context is an advantage, as well as experience with industrial automation software solutions.
