HR Transactions & Rewards 

Organizations re-evaluating their business strategy may lead to mergers, acquisitions (M&A) or restructurings. In this competence, we advise and work with clients through either the complete transaction deal cycle or their restructuring aspiration. Our consultants provide a comprehensive range of sell- and buy-side and restructuring solutions related to people services. In addition, there is a focus on total rewards components, either in projects related to M&A or e.g. in the harmonization of total rewards practices. 

 

Responsibilities – How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world? 

  • Demonstrate technical skills in HR M&A 
  • Work alongside clients and lead project workstreams, from planning through implementation together with your team 
  • Support during the sales process by brainstorming with the team on the client’s request and drive the development of solutions 
  • Prepare client workshops and assist in facilitating workshops 
  • Contribute to generate profitable revenue by identifying additional engagement opportunities and building lasting relationships with clients 
  • Influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for project related initiatives and/or decisions

  • Ability to manage projects, analyze problems and to provide input to insightful, practical and sustainable solutions 
  • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills and data manipulation and presentation, such as through MS Excel tools and Power BI 
  • Able to manage stakeholders and client relationships in a fast paced and complex environment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience of producing high quality reports, papers, presentations with excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to bring ideas and insights to clients that provide value, help address risk and assist in the driving solutions 
  • You demonstrate resilience in stressful situations and excel in performing under time pressure 
  • You are familiar with fast-paced dynamics and are able to navigate them effectively 

 

General job requirements – Where do you start if you want to change the world? 

To qualify for the role, you must have 

  • A relevant master’s degree, e.g. in Business Administration, HR, Finance 
  • Relevant working experience of 3 to 5 years within industry or consulting related roles with strong affinity for the people agenda 
  • Ability to analyze problems and to provide input to insightful, practical, and sustainable solutions 
  • Strong understanding of people related processes related to M&A
  • Strong oral and written skills in English and Dutch is required. 

Additionally, we are looking for candidates who…

  • Strong understanding of financial acumen and how people can leverage financial benefits in M&A or restructurings 
  • A background in HR M&A deal and restructurings and driving the people agenda in the deal life cycle, experience with total rewards is a plus  
  • Experience working with organisation design & talent planning, HR operations, works councils and/or unions 
  • A large amount of eagerness to get started and get trained with our extensive learning curriculum

  • Pension scheme: you will build up a pension capital directly after your start at EY. Each month the available premium amount is transferred for you in an investment account at our pension provider. You will also have the option to build up additional pension capital on a voluntary basis.

Recruitment procedure – How can you prepare for a long life together? 

The selection procedure exists in general out of 2 interview rounds and/or business case.  

An (online) assessment an pre-employment screening will also be part of the process. 
 

Pre-employment screening 
Due to laws and regulations, and because EY (and in some cases its clients) has high demands on the reliability and integrity of its employees, every new employee will be screened. Depending on your rank the pre employment screening could contain the following: Certificate of Conduct (in Dutch: VOG) or - if requesting a Dutch VOG is not possible - Criminal Background Check of the country you are currently living or have lived during the last five years,  integrity questionnaire, verification of ID, diploma’s and/or work experience and consultation of the Dutch insolvency registry.
