Your new job | What you will do
Organizations are rapidly rethinking how they run their global operations. As part of our Business Consulting Finance team, you will help CFOs and global leaders redesign and accelerate their Global Business Services (GBS) ambitions—unlocking new levels of efficiency, scalability, and value creation.
You will work on the topics that are defining GBS 2.0, such as:
- Designing next‑generation GBS operating models
- Shaping the Art of the Possible (AOP) for clients exploring or expanding GBS
- Bringing the latest EY perspectives on Future of GBS, including scope, governance, service management, and tech enablement
- Using our alliance with ServiceNow (SNOW) to improve service management and enable AI-driven performance insights
- Supporting the development and rollout of Agentic GBS, leveraging AI to transform processes and operating models
- Helping build GBS leadership communities (e.g., GBS Leader’s Club, GPO Roundtable) and representing EY in client‑facing sessions
- Leading engagements that help clients rethink their GBS structure and transformation roadmap
In short: you will play a key role in growing EY’s GBS market presence, supporting our ambition to expand offerings, build innovative capabilities, and shape the future of GBS for our clients.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you will help clients address complex challenges and accelerate their GBS transformation by:
- Leading and contributing to GBS Transition & Transformation initiatives
- Assessing current GBS maturity, delivery models, and performance
- Designing operating models, governance structures, service portfolios, and cross-functional collaboration models
- Supporting clients in adopting future-ready, AI-enabled GBS models
- Accountable for the delivery of project deliverables spanning client processes, operating model design, and enabling technologies
Bringing EY’s key GBS initiatives to life
You will help drive the initiatives including: GBS Art of the Possible (AOP): shaping EY’s point of view and helping deliver client sessions
- ServiceNow in GBS: leveraging the SNOW alliance to support demos, service management design, and performance insights
- Future of GBS / Market Perspective: delivering sessions and creating thought leadership for clients and GBS leaders
- GPO Roundtable: contributing to the development of a GPO community where leaders exchange insights and shape the future of process ownership
- Agentic GBS: supporting the build-out of use cases, demos, and AI-enabled process redesign
- Consulting excellence & teaming
- Working in multidisciplinary project teams across locations and EY service lines
- Facilitating workshops, presentations, and executive-ready storytelling
- Building long-term client relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Collaborating with international EY teams to deliver cross-border GBS projects
- Coaching junior team members and contributing to internal knowledge building

You will join an international and collaborative team working across Digital Finance, FP&A, and GBS transformation. You’ll closely collaborate with colleagues in Data & AI, SAP, Technology, and GBS teams across Europe and globally. Your office - Amsterdam
Our Amsterdam office is located at the Zuidas: a bustling area full of companies. In our Cross Towers, we welcome up to 1,500 people every day. Your Skills and Experience | What You Bring
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting & Control, Digital Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in consulting or in a Finance/GBS role within a multinational
- Strong understanding of Finance processes (O2C, P2P, R2R) and ambition to grow in GBS and Digital Finance
- Experience with GBS design, implementation, or service management
- Affinity with technology enablement (e.g., ServiceNow, workflow tools, automation, AI)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Ability to lead meetings, manage workstreams, and collaborate across borders
- Proactive mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus
