Your new job | About your main responsibilities
In a rapidly evolving, digital world, organizations must constantly rethink their strategies and performance. We help CFOs—primarily from multinational corporations, but also mid-sized companies and startups—reimagine the future of Finance and guide them through major transformation programs.
Whether it’s accelerating the move toward data-driven decision-making or exploring the possibilities of emerging technologies like GenAI and machine learning, we help our clients unlock the full potential of Finance and Finance Analytics. Our projects also include advising CFOs on how to optimize their management information, improve financial planning and analysis, develop new operating models including Global Business Services (GBS) or Global Capability Centers (GCCs), and implement better processes and technologies. Sustainability and long-term value creation are becoming more central to our work as well.
In short, we work on a broad range of strategic topics that are high on the CFO agenda—topics our Finance team is truly passionate about. We are looking for a senior consultant who will focus on GBS related projects. Our team utilizes Global Business Services (GBS) to help clients centralize and streamline their support functions, while also focusing on Financial Operations (FinOps) to optimize financial processes, ensuring efficiency and accountability in managing their resources.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you’ll navigate complex challenges and help clients thrive in a constantly changing environment. Within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to key Finance-related topics by:
- Addressing issues that impact both industry and society
- Taking ownership on Global Business Services related topics on the CFO agenda and contributing to a better working world
- You will play a role in GBS Transition and Transformation Initiatives: Collaborate with clients to assess their current GBS delivery model, develop and implement GBS operating models, processes and governance structures that align with clients’ business objectives
- Working in project teams and sharing your ideas on how to drive client improvement
- Collaborating with colleagues at EY offices, at client sites, and remotely
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Working on GBS projects across various locations with international EY teams
- Demonstrating initiative and a strong commitment to high-quality outcomes
- Applying feedback and continuously developing your skills
- Using and combining a range of competencies including presentation, storytelling, analytics, strategic thinking, communication, and project management
