Your new job | About your main responsibilities

 

As SAP S4/HANA Asset Manager you’ll be part of the SAP Practice within Consulting.

At EY, you’ll have the opportunity to help global organizations transform their asset-intensive operations using SAP S/4HANA Asset Management (EAM). As a Manager, you will lead complex SAP transformation initiatives, shape target solutions, and guide clients through the full lifecycle of SAP-enabled change - from strategy and design to implementation and value realization.

You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, EY partners, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful, high-quality outcomes for asset-intensive industries such as energy, utilities, manufacturing, chemicals, life sciences, infrastructure, and public sector.

 

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager in SAP S/4HANA Asset Management, you will:

  • Lead and deliver SAP S/4HANA Asset Management workstreams across greenfield, brownfield, and selective carve-out programs
  • Design end-to-end Asset Management solutions, covering:
    • Asset master data and technical object structures
    • Maintenance planning and execution
    • Asset lifecycle management
    • Resource scheduling and capacity planning
    • Integration with Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain and Project Systems
  • Translate business requirements into SAP S/4HANA standard capabilities, promoting fit-to-standard and best practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, engaging with maintenance managers, plant managers, engineers, and CIO-level stakeholders
  • Lead solution design workshops, blueprinting sessions, and design authority forums
  • Guide and mentor consultants and senior consultants, ensuring delivery quality and team development
  • Contribute to proposal development, solution shaping, and thought leadership
  • Drive collaboration across EY service lines (Business Consulting, Technology Consulting, Finance, Supply Chain)
  • Support practice growth through innovation, asset development, and knowledge sharing

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution

 

  • Strong consulting experience with SAP S/4HANA Asset Management
  • Proven leadership capability and confidence engaging with senior client stakeholders
  • A structured, analytical mindset combined with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach
  • The ability to balance business transformation goals with system and data realities
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a strong advantage)
  • 6+ years’ of experience in SAP consulting or industry roles relevant to Asset Management
  • Experience delivering SAP S/4HANA implementations or conversions
  • Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and agile delivery approaches
  • Experience managing teams and workstreams in complex transformation programs
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Asset Management and related areas, such as:

o    Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)

o    SAP Asset & Service Management

o    Maintenance planning, execution, and notifications

o    Asset accounting and integration with Finance
