Your new job | About your main responsibilities

Join our dynamic Treasury team within EY CFO Consulting and become part of a team that focuses on the multidisciplinary aspects of the Treasury function for large (listed) corporates and financial institutions. Our team covers a wide range of disciplines, including cash management, services around financial instruments and valuations, treasury processes and control optimization, (hedge) accounting assessments, and treasury management system implementations. Our team is located in Amsterdam.
At this moment we are specifically recruiting for a Manager.
Our competency team is committed to achieving the highest standards of treasury and financial risk management, hedging of interest rate, FX rate and commodity risk risks, cash management, financial instruments services, and accounting implications of the CFO’s treasury operations. Clients include large corporates, financial institutions and (governmental) authorities. We focus on the various aspects of treasury and financial risk management and help our clients navigate through highly dynamic environments to manage their treasury function effectively and efficiently by addressing a wide range of challenges daily, particularly in finance, accounting and risk management functions.
With the increasing variety of market dynamics impacting our clients, there are ample opportunities to specialize in areas such as cash management, financial instruments, treasury management system implementation, treasury process and control optimization, and financial reporting. We appreciate candidates with a passion for financial markets, financial risk management and interest in the accounting implications of the treasury function. The agility to also specialize in other domains of treasury and financial risk management is appreciated, considering the anticipated volatility of client demand and the CFO’s agenda.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to a better working world advising clients on the implementation of treasury and financial risk management strategies, including specific treasury-related domains of the CFO’s daily agenda.
- Doing project-based work in a team to advise clients on topics such as cash management, hedging of interest rate, FX rate and commodity price risks, optimizing treasury processes and controls, managing financial instruments and valuations, and (hedge) accounting implications of treasury operations.
- Building comprehensive assessments, analysis and valuation models to support your advice provided to clients.
- Stay abreast of market dynamics and industry trends to provide informed advice to large corporate clients and financial institutions.
- Working across multiple projects with diverse EY teams and various client contacts.
- Combining various skills, both quantitative and qualitative, including executive presentation, financial modelling, storytelling, writing skills, project management and working with various cultures and backgrounds.

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution
- You finished a Master’s degree, with a background in treasury, finance, accounting, (financial) risk management, or similar.
- As a Manager you have at least 5 years of prior working experience with a focus on financial services, financial risk management or finance & accounting.
- You are fluent in English and Dutch, both verbal and in writing.
- You are quantitatively-strong, process-driven, and people-oriented.
- You have an international mind-set and are very open to work with different cultures.
- You have a proven track-record in the Dutch market, either as a consultant or in a managerial role.
