The opportunity

The colleagues of the Service Excellence team at EY (part of the Supply Chain & Operations department) have a passion to support their clients to sustainably and continuously improve business results. Our focus is on long term sustainable value for our clients by focusing on Customer, Social, Employee, and Financial value. That is why we put significant focus on enabling, training and coaching the client’s employees and leadership. We do so in all layers of the organization and apply our expertise in the full spectrum of the business operations (e.g. strategy, process, customer, organization, employee, data, technology, leadership and culture). This brings the opportunity to work and learn from experts in different fields and allows you for variation in your work and a steep learning curve. You will typically work with a small team of 2 to 5 people. It’s your job to support these teams to be successful by delivering high quality, value adding work at our clients.

 

Your key responsibilities

Service Excellence is the EY name for integrated Continuous Improvement in Service Organizations and back-offices. As part of the Service Excellence team, you make an impact at the customer from day one. As a Manager, you are an expert in your field and are able to engage with the client’s leadership, understand their business need, translate that into an effective transformation- or project improvement approach, and are able to support and coach your teams to execute this approach with excellence. Next to your client work, you have the opportunity to become a counsellor for less experienced colleagues, mentoring them to be as successful as you one day. As part of the management team, you also contribute to a nice working atmosphere and team up with your peers to create a work environment which is both pleasant and effective to give our team and our clients the best experience that they can get.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 6 to 9 years of working experience of which at least 4 years in Consultancy and/or within the field of Operational Excellence / Lean / Continuous Improvement within Services Organizations.
  • A Master's degree preferably in the field of Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, (Industrial) Engineering or similar studies.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Strong communication, change management and people skills, project or program management experience, result-driven, the ability to be pragmatic in execution of projects and conceptual thinking.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • You have a passion for Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement in service environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certified is an advantage.
  • Affinity and/or experience with data and IT
  • Fluently speaking a third European language (in addition to Dutch and English) and you are willing to travel
