Your new job | About your main responsibilities
Whether you would like to dedicate yourself to a particular highly regulated sector such as financial services, as being passionate about tackling such industry's most complex challenges, or stay more sector-agnostic with a focus on implementation of EU/NL legislation, risk management, internal controls and/or sustainability disclosures, join our dynamic Regulatory, Risk & ESG Compliance team within EY’s Finance Advisory practice.

At this moment we are specifically recruiting for a Manager experienced in Regulatory and/or Risk Consulting with 5+ years of relevant experience and a (primary) focus on banking, ideally with prior working experience in consulting at a professional services firm.

Your new team | About your colleagues and the office
Our competency team Regulatory, Risk & ESG Compliance is committed to support clients in achieving the highest standards of risk management, accurate reporting to supervisory authorities, compliant sustainability disclosures, and timely implementation of relevant European and Dutch regulations at highly regulated clients such as banks. We focus on various aspects of risk management and help our clients adhering to various types of regulation, addressing a wide range of challenges daily, particularly in finance, risk, and compliance functions.

With the increasing variety of regulations impacting our clients, there are ample opportunities to specialize in areas such as financial risk, non-financial risk, sustainability disclosures and/or regulatory reporting.

Other competencies within EY’s Finance Advisory practice are Finance Transformation, Treasury, Project Management, Technical Accounting, Finance Data & AI and Transactions.

Responsibilities – How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

  • Drive (go-to-market) campaigns on regulatory topics, thereby positioning yourself as go-to person for the topic at hand towards both colleagues and client contacts.

  • Contribute to a better working world advising clients within highly regulated industries, such as banks, on implementation of legislation and adherence to supervisory guidance.

  • Doing project-based work in a team to advise clients on regulatory topics such as (banking) license applications, regulatory reporting for banks, regulatory compliance and related requirements imposed by European supervisory bodies and regulators, and in that way building long-lasting relationships with our clients.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and new regulations such as developments in CRR & CRD, BRRD & SRMR, PSR & PSD and relevant publications from supervisory bodies such as ESMA, EBA, EIOPA, DNB and ECB.

  • Link legal requirements with business processes, regulatory expectations, organizational risk appetite, (reporting) processes, and operational application.

  • Working across multiple projects with diverse EY teams and various client contacts.

  • Combining various skills, such as executive presentation, storytelling, writing skills, project management and working with various cultures and backgrounds.

  • In case of a primary banking focus, act as prudential risk and regulatory reporting expert to EY banking audit teams and clients, considering a yearly regulatory reporting (COREP, FINREP) audit assignment cycle.
