Join our Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) team, comprising approximately 45 professionals dedicated to transforming and redesigning operations, supply chains, warehousing, (digital) logistics, and smart factories. Within these domains, the Logistics & Fulfilment team specializes in optimizing logistics and fulfilment operations, enhancing efficiency, and fostering sustainable growth. We achieve this by guiding organizations through comprehensive end-to-end logistics transformation programs—from strategy development to implementation.

 

We are seeking a Manager Logistics & Fulfilment with (international) consulting experience to enhance our SC&O Consulting practice in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). In this role, you will be the driving force behind challenging transformative projects that significantly improve our clients' business performance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead logistics transformation initiatives, driving impactful change that enhances client operations.
  • Collaborate with Senior Logistics & Fulfilment Executives at global organizations to design and implement innovative strategies in Logistics and Fulfilment.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal teams and clients, identifying new business opportunities in an international context (e.g., responding to RFPs, developing proposals, and contributing to thought leadership).
  • Design and execute comprehensive logistics strategies, leveraging digital tools such as WMS, TMS, and logistics control towers in partnership with technology teams and third-party providers.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and innovations in digital logistics, analytics, hyper-automation, and the broader supply chain ecosystem.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Excellent analytical capabilities that help you to strategize and think conceptually with the communication skills to share your ideas in a convincing way.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, and change management skills that allow you to deliver complex transformation projects within set boundaries.
  • A commercial acumen that enables you to identify and develop high-quality relationships, converting them into business opportunities and effectively selling consulting projects for sustained growth.
  • Leadership experience with a people-centric approach, committed to mentoring and developing team members in an international setting.
  • 6 – 8 years of experience in supply chain management consulting, with a focus on logistics, operational excellence, and digital tools (e.g., TMS, WMS, OMS, control towers). This may include international or boutique consulting as well as consulting experience through an in-house consulting or transformation team within a larger organization.
  • A master’s degree (WO) in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with fluency in English.

Ideally, you will also have

  • Certification and/or extensive hands-on experience with tools such as Blue Yonder TMS/WMS, SAP TM, and Aera.
  • Experience engaging with both senior executives and operational personnel within client organizations.
  • An open and flexible mindset regarding international assignments and diverse projects within the supply chain.
  • Experience in developing and delivering logistics decarbonization programs for multinational clients.
  • Proficiency in the Dutch language.
