Your new job | About your main responsibilities 

As a Manager Global Business Services (GBS) Continuous Improvement (CI), you’ll be part of the GBS Transformation team, possibly with a focus on Consumer Product, Pharma and Specialty Chemical. You will advise clients on how to continuously improve their GBS operations. You will lead project workstreams, shape practical recommendations and help clients build continuous improvement capabilities, methods, tools and governance that deliver measurable gains in efficiency, quality, controls, user experience and cost-to-serve.  

This role sits at the intersection of GBS transformation, operational excellence, technology and people-led change, with a clear focus on client impact and sustainable value.  

  

  

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead workstreams within client GBS CI engagements, managing scope, deliverables, timelines and quality 
  • Advise clients on CI operating models, methods, tools, governance routines and performance management practices 
  • Assess CI capability within operational processes to identify improvement opportunities and shape value-led recommendations 
  • Work with client stakeholders, GBS leaders and global process owners to prioritize initiatives and translate opportunities into delivery plans 
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, value stream mapping, root-cause analysis, Initial Problem Analysis (IPA) and other methods to diagnose issues and design scalable solutions 
  • Develop client-ready materials, including insights, roadmaps, business cases, benefits tracking and executive-level recommendations 
  • Facilitate client workshops and cross-functional working sessions to align stakeholders around priorities and future-state processes 

 

  • Identify automation and digital enablement opportunities leveraging process mining, task mining, workflows, RPA, analytics and AI, and drive continuous improvement through the effective use of ERP systems 
  • Support implementation, adoption and capability building so clients can sustain improvements beyond the project lifecycle 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on priorities, risks, capability gaps, change impacts and value realization

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile or equivalent certifications are advantageous.  
  • At least 5+ years of experience in consulting, advisory, continuous improvement, operational excellence, process excellence, transformation in GBS/shared services 
  • Strong understanding of GBS models, end-to-end business processes and transformation delivery 
  • Experience in client or stakeholder-facing projects, including workstream delivery, stakeholder engagement and client-ready materials 
  • Practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, process mapping, root-cause analysis, Initial Problem Analysis (IPA) and benefits tracking 
  • Ability to translate data, performance and stakeholder insight into clear recommendations, business cases, roadmaps and delivery plans 
  • Curiosity about how automation, analytics, process mining, workflow, RPA and AI can improve ways of working 
  • Experience with applying CI to finance operations processes such as P2P, R2R, O2C is mandatory 
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Proficiency in Dutch is a significant advantage
