The EY-Parthenon Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE) practice is serving private equity and corporates in strategy, due diligence, carve-out, integration and value creation & post-deal transformation. Today’s deals are no longer just about ‘putting capital to work’, but especially about smart performance improvement opportunity and value creation and the role technology can play to develop attractive investment cases.
We are seeking to further expand our team with IT M&A Senior Consultants who’ll advise clients, support key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions and maximize value for our clients.
Your new job | About your main responsibilities
As an experienced Senior Consultant you will participate in IT implementation & rollout programs. The position requires a broad range of skills and the ability to step in to different roles depending on the size and scope of an engagement within international work environment. You will work closely with our clients focusing upon helping companies to address their most strategic technology challenges, whether they are buying or selling a business. This will not only sharpen your strategic thinking and analytical skills, but also provide additional international experience, learning a multitude of sectors(e.g. life science, consumer products and retail, industrial products, etc.) and functional knowledge(e.g. finance, supply chain, HR, IT, legal, etc.).
As an Transactional Technology Senior Consultant you will be part of multi-disciplinary project teams, and:
- You will support key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions, and you’ll use your IT sector knowledge and work on projects pre deal and post deal and managing relationships with client stakeholders
- You’ll lead the development of technology strategy, direction and roadmap, architectures, solution-oriented, demonstration and enablement in alignment with the clients’ overall IT architecture
- You will manage projects and on day-to-day solve problems together with our team and assist in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations
- Independently perform primary and secondary research including data gathering, interviews, and surveys, and planning and developing analytics, both qualitative and quantitative
- Developing ‘the story’ – the output to narrate the solution to the client’s problem – including written output (slides)

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution
- You have a relevant Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of applicable industry and/or consulting work experience, ideally in ERP, IT systems, IT Architecture and business processes
- Experience in supporting projects involving IT strategy, architecture, infrastructure, cost and value, operating models and the optimization of technology processes and services across diverse industries.
- Sharp analytical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills, and outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English, Dutch (preferable) any additional language would be of great advantage
- Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
