Your new job and new team | About your colleagues and the office

Companies face an array of risks and challenges that have the potential to threaten their future — including geopolitical uncertainty, cross-border trade restrictions, technology and supply chain disruption, customer channel changes, liquidity issues, legislation alterations and shareholder activism among others.

For corporate leaders, identifying and urgently responding to these business-critical events by reshaping the business is one of the most important priorities. We help the clients to respond to internal and external challenges, providing trusted leadership in these urgent, critical and complex situations to help clients recover and preserve value for a better, sustainable future.

EY-Parthenon delivers solutions at pace, supporting clients as they transform, recover and improve. Whether the clients are corporate boards, sponsors, capital providers or financial stakeholders, we work closely with clients with a focus on pragmatic execution to transform financial and/or operational performance.

You will become part of the EY-Parthenon Performance, Turnaround & Restructuring (PTR) team. We help leadership teams navigate urgent and complex challenges, delivering rapid impact, sustainable results, and successful business transformation.

  • Within performance improvement projects, you support clients in strengthening their financial and operational performance through targeted, high-impact initiatives. This includes improving the finance function by enhancing processes, controls, reporting and performance management to enable better and faster decision-making, cost optimisation programmes to structurally improve profitability, and drive working capital optimisation initiatives to unlock cash and improve liquidity. We support the full transformation journey, from strategy and design through implementation, connecting strategic priorities with finance operations. As such, the focus is on delivering practical, measurable improvements that create immediate impact while building a foundation for sustainable performance.

  • Within turnaround and restructuring projects, you advise clients and stakeholders in complex and time-sensitive situations where financial stability is under pressure. You support liquidity management efforts, including cash flow forecasting and short-term stabilisation measures, and contribute to Independent Business Reviews to assess viability and identify required actions. Your work also includes involvement in situations related to distressed M&A, financial restructuring processes, and contingency planning, including insolvency scenarios where relevant. The emphasis is on stabilising the business, safeguarding value, and supporting stakeholders through critical phases of transformation and recovery.

For you, this means:

  • Exposure to transactions, performance improvement and restructuring situations;
  • A varied and dynamic project portfolio;
  • Close collaboration with multidisciplinary EY teams across Strategy, Transactions, Valuations, Tax and Assurance, delivering clients end-to-end solutions;
  • The opportunity to develop a well-rounded skillset across the finance, transactions and restructuring domain.

A typical day does not exist — your work will be dynamic, challenging and impactful.
