EY-Parthenon supports companies in making investments for organic or acquisitive growth and improvements. This includes strategy development, operational transformations, restructurings, and guiding IPOs, mergers, and acquisitions. Your new job | About your main responsibilities
As a senior consultant, you’ll be part of the EY-Parthenon Strategy & Execution team, with a focus on People Strategy. Your focus is on advising and supporting clients throughout the entire deal life cycle, providing a range of People and HR-related services on both the sell-side and buy-side. We contribute to and validate the deal price pre-deal and assist in realizing deal synergies post-deal.
You will contribute to the following activities:
- Complex HR due diligence, day-one readiness, post-merger integration, carve-outs, and post-deal value creation such as strategic workforce planning, organization design, employee relations planning and execution, and culture, communication &change initiatives.
- Supporting clients in planning and implementing People and HR elements for organizational restructuring programs at both strategic and operational levels.
- Addressing People and HR-related matters through all stages of acquisition, divestiture, and merger, including pre- and post-deal.
- Writing and reviewing reports, project planning, data analysis, and developing presentation materials. Additionally, analyzing (financial) data and presenting high-quality, risk-managed reports, including client and executive presentations.
- Structuring and managing (international) projects that meet and exceed client expectations, while confidently and effectively recognizing and managing potential issues during client assignments.

The People Strategy and M&A team works with clients to manage their employee capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increase returns on investments. As part of a global team of professionals in 100 countries, you will advise clients on preserving, optimizing, raising, or investing capital.
Your office: Amsterdam
Our Amsterdam office is located at the Zuidas: a bustling area full of companies. In our Cross Towers, we welcome up to 1,500 people every day. For a breathtaking view of the city, head to the 22nd floor. Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution
A background in Finance is not required, but affinity with this discipline and familiarity with financial terminology is important. We invite recent graduates with a Master’s degree from a Dutch university in: Strategy, Business Administration, Finance, Organizational Studies, Econometrics, HRM, or similar to apply.
- Experience in advising clients on a range of transactions and restructurings, ideally in People topics, is a plus.
- In addition to your studies, you have developed yourself in various ways, such as through a relevant internship, a board year, or other extracurricular activities.
- You have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and are highly proficient in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- You have a strong and demonstrable affinity with People and HR topics, strategy development, and mergers & acquisitions in a broad sense.
- You are highly experienced with Microsoft Office and Excel. If required, you already hold a valid work permit.

This mutual introduction is a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to ask any questions you have.
4. Second interview: If we see a match and you’re still enthusiastic, we’ll invite you for a second interview. We’ll dive deeper into the role and other relevant topics. Sometimes, a business case is part of the process. A final interview may also follow.
