We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes/AKS, Terraform Infrastructure as Code, and Python automation.

As a Supervising Associate, you will play a key role in designing, automating and operating enterprise-grade cloud environments while driving engineering excellence, platform reliability and DevSecOps best practices. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and building reusable, scalable solutions that accelerate digital transformation.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer, you will:

  • Design, build and operate cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure with a focus on scalability, security, reliability and cost optimization.
  • Deploy, manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) workloads in production environments.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state management and multi-environment deployment patterns.
  • Develop Python-based automation solutions to streamline operational processes, cloud provisioning, compliance validation and self-service capabilities.
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions to support automated testing, deployment and governance controls.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, security specialists and operations teams to improve platform stability and service delivery.
  • Support incident management activities, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to DevSecOps practices by integrating security controls, vulnerability remediation and compliance automation into engineering workflows.
  • Document platform standards, architecture patterns and operational procedures to support long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing.

 

Skills and Attributes for Success

Microsoft Azure

  • Strong hands-on experience managing Azure environments in production.
  • Experience designing and operating secure web application architectures using:
    • Azure Application Gateway WAF v2
    • Azure Front Door
    • Azure Key Vault
    • Private networking and connectivity solutions
  • Strong understanding of Hub-and-Spoke network architectures, ingress and egress controls, network segmentation and secure publishing patterns.
  • Ability to troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, identity and application connectivity issues.

Kubernetes / AKS

  • Proven experience operating Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads in production.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Docker
    • Helm
    • Kustomize
    • Ingress Controllers
    • Network Policies
    • Secrets Management
    • Autoscaling
  • Experience with container and Kubernetes security tooling such as Aqua Security, Microsoft Defender for Containers, Trivy, Snyk or equivalent solutions.
  • Ability to diagnose cluster, workload, networking and runtime performance issues.

Terraform Infrastructure as Code

  • Extensive experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform in Azure environments.
  • Experience developing reusable modules and supporting enterprise-scale deployment models.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Terraform state management
    • Remote backends
    • AzureRM provider
    • CI/CD integration
    • Governance and policy enforcement
    • Infrastructure deployment best practices

Python Automation

  • Advanced scripting capabilities using Python.
  • Experience building automation frameworks, integrations, reporting solutions and operational tooling.
  • Familiarity with cloud APIs and infrastructure automation workflows.

CI/CD & Observability

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of release management, deployment strategies and quality gates.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as:
    • Azure Monitor
    • Log Analytics
    • Application Insights
    • Prometheus
    • Grafana

 

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong practical expertise in Azure cloud platform services.
  • Proven production experience with Kubernetes and AKS.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Strong Python scripting and automation capabilities.
  • Experience working in enterprise production environments with high availability and security requirements.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.

 

Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400.
  • Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD or CKS.
  • Experience working within regulated environments and implementing security hardening controls.
  • Exposure to enterprise governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of modern DevSecOps operating models.
