We are recruiting for an Account Manager within Banking & Capital Markets for one of our biggest clients to join the EY Business Development team to grow a large EY client portfolio and offer this client exceptional fit for purpose solutions.

 

The Account Manager plays an important role in bringing together the needs of the client and EY's commercial activities within the sector. You contribute to building, strengthening, and expanding client relationships, collaborate on quotations and work, together with the client, on continuous improvement of our services (e.g., by carrying out client evaluations). You work closely with the EY Global Client Executive, Global Client Service Partner, Consulting lead and account team with whom you jointly determine the activities and programs needed to strengthen EY's position with the client.

Our BD team is driving the growth of EY's client portfolio in the Netherlands. The team of BD professionals works together with colleagues in the Tax, Consulting, Strategy & Transactions and Audit service lines, to optimize our client services and new commercial initiatives. Our team is involved in all go-to-market initiatives in the sectors and work mainly in multidisciplinary account teams. We focus on activities ranging from the successful completion of tender processes, the active acquisition of new clients to the expansion of existing accounts and have an essential role in (leading) large commercial projects and maintaining key relationships with our clients.

 

ResponsibilitiesHow can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

The Account Manager is, together with the Client Executive, responsible for delivering exceptional service to our client by understanding the issues and challenges, leveraging the firm’s capabilities to address these, and driving new business opportunities to grow revenue and to deepen customer relationship management. Focusing on one large bank within the Banking and Capital Market Segment this role will play a critical role in the (global) account strategy, rigorous account planning and relationship development across the clients’ organization on a tactical and strategical level. Key responsibilities include contributing to successful (global) delivery as well as personal sales and pipeline targets by spending approximately 80% of your time engaging with the client and delivering exceptional client experience.

Commitment and team spirit are crucial in this role. As are the willingness to learn and develop yourself in the current and future world of Banking and Capital Markets, the eagerness to understand and service you client, the ability to build relationships and adapt quickly to different circumstances and clients, and the guts to dare to ask the better question both internally and externally.

  • You hold a relevant diploma (bachelor's/master's);
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the Banking and Capital markets industry;
  • Ability to build high-impact relationships quickly and sustain them;
  • Solid understanding of the developments in the Banking and Capital markets industry;
  • Ability to team up with and influence colleagues to formulate the best strategy for the client;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in the Dutch language can be an addition.
  • Ability to bring new ideas and innovation to deliverables with a strong focus on transformative digital, managed service and/or Alliance based solutions
  • Agile and growth-oriented mindset and the ability to flex personal style as required
  • Pursuit management experience;
  • Excellent MS office skills including Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Birth leave: EY will pay 100% of the birth leave, in case of an additional birth leave EY will pay 70% of the salary.
    • Training and education: EY believes it's important for everyone to always have the opportunity to further develop yourself. We therefore offer you the opportunity to take part in various soft & hard skills training, external courses and/or sign up for an additional education. For example, obtaining an MBA to broaden your skills in Leadership, Business and Tech.
    • Mobility: Contribute directly to our ambition to reduce EY's carbon footprint to zero by 2025. With the new scheme you choose the most diverse sustainable options via the EY My Daily Travel app or online environment. Think of the use of lease bicycles, electric shared scooters, electric shared cars, flexible lease cars and various subscriptions for public transport. You can also view your CO2 footprint via the app.
    • Bicycle arrangement: finance the purchase cost of your new bicycle from your gross monthly salary (purchase cost amount divided over 12 months) or from your non-statutory holiday entitlement.
    • Pension scheme: you will build up a pension capital directly after your start at EY. Each month the available premium amount is transferred for you in an investment account at our pension provider. You will also have the option to build up additional pension capital on a voluntary basis.
