The opportunity - What future are you building towards?
You will work in multi-disciplinary teams for some of the biggest and most recognized brands in the world, leading projects to help drive their business performance and digital finance transformation agendas. Our team utilizes Global Business Services (GBS) to help clients centralize and streamline their support functions, while also focusing on Financial Operations (FinOps) to optimize financial processes, ensuring efficiency and accountability in managing their resources. Next to our focus on GBS and FinOps, our team supports clients around business planning, reporting, and analytics (BPR&A). Together, we focus on aligning finance functions with business goals, ensuring our solutions support both functional excellence and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities – How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

Build Relationships: Work closely with CFOs and their teams and develop strong connections with senior leaders in client organizations. Understand their most critical business challenges and priorities, and collaborate with EY peers to design and deliver innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies

Lead High-Performing Teams: Motivate and manage diverse, high-performing teams aligned with EY’s values. Deliver exceptional client service and prepare clients for a digital future

Enhance Finance Processes: Provide expertise, best practices, and strategic insights to improve finance (operations) processes such as Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C) and Record to Report (R2R). Conduct process assessments, recommend and implement leading finance practices, and optimize operations, including ERP system and tooling enhancements, policy and procedure development, and redesigning operating models

Lead GBS Transition and Transformation Initiatives: Collaborate with clients to assess their current GBS delivery model, develop and implement GBS operating models, processes and governance structures that align with clients’ business objectives

Support Change Management: Ensure finance teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and capabilities to adopt new processes, tools, and technologies effectively. Lead change management efforts to support this transition

Utilize Financial Data: Provide key insights using financial data to help CFOs become more data-driven. Enable true business partnering in finance, which is crucial for sustainable growth and informed decision-making.
Job requirements – Where do you start?

5-10 years of relevant experience
-
Expertise in consulting and experience within the field of Global Business Services (GBS) and specific experience in improving and/or automating one or more of the following FinOps areas:
-
Procure to Pay (P2P)
-
Order to Cash (O2C)
-
Record to Report (R2R)
-

Sufficient holistic knowledge of GBS, in one or more of the following phases:
-
GBS key trends
-
GBS strategy
-
GBS design
- GBS build
-
GBS implementation (incl. transitions)
-
GBS continuous improvement
-
-
Familiarity with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems)
-
Understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics used in GBS/FinOps
-
Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies in finance and operations
-
Proven success in team leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of (senior) consultants
-
Knowledge of account management, business development and the consulting sales cycle
-
Proven ability in managing multiple engagements and stakeholders, surpassing client expectations, handling budgets, and effectively mitigating risks
-
Extensive experience in leading business development, building networks, identifying opportunities, responding to RFPs, and presenting at events
-
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to storyboard and create high quality outputs
-
Excellent problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills
-
Track record of managing professional services staff, including coaching and developing staff
-
Strong proficiency in financial support tools, including MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), with additional experience in SAP, Microsoft BI, ServiceNow, HighRadius, BlackLine, being advantageous
Ideally, you’ll also have

Relevant Professional qualifications are a plus, e.g., CMA/RC, CPA/RA, RE.

Relevant technical business analyst and/or implementation manager certifications (e.g., SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.)

Dutch language - full professional proficiency is a plus

Pre-employment screening
