Your new job | About your main responsibilities

If you have a tech background and want to focus more on Finance while leading large projects and teams—and combine a content-driven role with go-to-market activities, this role is a perfect fit. EY’s Finance Consulting practice is looking for an experienced (Senior) Manager: Finance Technologies, Data & Platforms.

As multinational organizations navigate massive shifts toward autonomous finance, the limitations of legacy data estates and fragmented systems have become the primary bottleneck for CFOs. True finance transformation, sophisticated FP&A, and AI readiness are only achievable if built upon a rock-solid, unified data foundation.

In this senior leadership role, you will sit at the crucial intersection of enterprise corporate finance, modern financial systems, and data engineering. You will guide CFOs and enterprise architecture teams through complex initiatives to modernize their finance data models, integrate advanced EPM platforms, and design cloud-enabled, scalable reporting ecosystems that serve as the single source of truth for the enterprise.

This area is a clear strategic growth priority. We are actively investing in expanding this capability, and you will play a key role in shaping and growing the team—building, leading, and making a lasting impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Architectural Leadership: Act as the lead solution architect on high-stakes finance transformation programs, defining how financial systems, data models, and corporate reporting layers connect.
  • Strategic CFO Advisory: Advise CFOs, Finance Directors, and CIOs on technology selection, platform rationalization, and the long-term ROI of modernizing their financial data infrastructure.
  • Engagement Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex, platform-driven transformation projects, managing multi-disciplinary teams (developers, finance specialists, and data engineers) alongside delivery budgets and timelines.
  • Business Development & Market Expansion: Spearhead commercial growth within the Dutch and European markets by identifying organizational data bottlenecks, crafting compelling platform-led proposals, and building long-term alliances with technology partners.
  • Bridge Finance & Tech: Translate complex accounting rules, regulatory reporting demands, and business-driven FP&A requirements into rigorous, highly structured technical specifications and data architectures.
  • Teaming & Talent Cultivation: Direct, coach, and inspire managers and consultants within the team, fostering deep technical expertise in EPM/ERP platforms alongside strategic consulting capabilities.

Your new team | About your colleagues and the office

Our Finance Data & Platforms solution bridges the gap between traditional finance functions and advanced technology architecture. We partner with blue-chip and global enterprises to design the blueprints for modern finance environments—ensuring data flows seamlessly from core ERPs to sophisticated planning and analytics engines.

We work closely with corporate finance and technology leaders to solve enterprise-scale structural challenges:

  • Finance Data Architecture & Modeling: Designing and rationalizing unified corporate data models, master data governance frameworks, and global charts of accounts (CoA) across complex multi-entity structures.
  • Next-Gen EPM & FP&A Platforms: Directing the architectural design and strategic implementation roadmap for market-leading Enterprise Performance Management solutions (e.g., OneStream, SAP BPC/SAC, Anaplan, Tagetik) to transform corporate planning, budgeting, and financial closing.
  • Data Fabric & Modernization: Overhauling legacy data silos by establishing cloud-enabled finance data lakes and warehouses, paving the way for trustworthy, real-time reporting and scalable AI deployment.
  • ERP & Ecosystem Integration: Aligning enterprise finance platforms with complex core ERP landscapes (such as SAP S/4HANA or Oracle Cloud) to automate data pipelines, reduce manual manipulation, and optimize performance.

As AI fundamentally continues to reshape the finance function, this competency represents the primary strategic growth area within EY Finance Consulting. As a Senior Manager, you will drive this expansion, collaborating across a multidisciplinary network including Finance Transformation, Global Business Services, Tech Strategy, Enterprise Risk, and Transactions.

Our Finance Consulting team is a dynamic and diverse team, with team members coming from different countries. We work closely together and have an open culture. Join us and work on projects that drive meaningful change.
