Your new job | About your main responsibilities   

Become a  (Senior) Manager Asset Management Business Transformation at EY, shaping the future of financial services. The Business Transformation team is part of our Business Consulting service line.

 

Work on high-impact transformation programmes for leading wealth and asset managers, helping clients reimagine their operating models through large-scale platform transformations centered on solutions such as BlackRock Aladdin and Amundi Alto. You'll advise executive teams on strategy, operating model design, and transformation execution, supporting the modernisation of investment management capabilities and enabling greater efficiency, scalability, and resilience across the organisation.

 

In addition, you'll help shape the future of the industry through AI-enabled and Business-led (Agentic) transformations, combining technology, data, and process innovation to unlock new sources of value and accelerate enterprise-wide change.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Take a leading role in shaping and delivering business proposals and scoping documents 
  • Drive transformative change and growth with your strategic vision 
  • Engagement Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex, Business transformation projects, managing multi-disciplinary alongside delivery budgets and timelines. 
  • Business Development & Market Expansion: Spearhead commercial growth within the Dutch and European markets by identifying organizational data bottlenecks, crafting compelling business-led proposals, and building long-term alliances with partners in the Wealth & Asset management sector. Proactively builds and maintains a senior network in this sector; attends, organizes, and speaks at industry forums, roundtables, and events. 
  • Teaming & Talent Cultivation: Direct, coach, and inspire colleagues within the Business Transformation team and collaborate across teams to integrate diverse insights.

The Business Transformation team consists of almost 40 professionals. The team has a gender ratio of 55/45. Colleagues come from 9 different countries: Turkey, South Africa, France, Latvia, China, Hungary, Norway, UK, and the Netherlands. The average age within the team is around 30 years. The team has an open and collaborative culture and is socially active. There are regular social events, including drinks and team sports, as well as an annual ski trip

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution  

Experience & Background:  

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience 
  • A completed Masters degree (WO level) in, for example, Strategic Management, Business Administration, Finance, Strategic Entrepreneurship, or a related field. 
  • Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale, business-led transformations;
  • Deep industry expertise (preferably asset management)
  • Hands-on experience with large investment management platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin or Amundi Alto. Aladdin knowledge is a strong preference.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in high-pressure, high-stakes client environments with senior (C-suite/ExCo) stakeholder exposure 
  • Knowledge of investment operations and asset management, including front-to-back investment processes, trade lifecycle management, portfolio management support, investment accounting and post-trade operations. Experience with one or more asset management platforms (e.g., Aladdin, Alto, SimCorp, Charles River) is highly valued.

 

Senior manager requirements:

  • Commercial Capability 
  • Active business development experience. Has originated, shaped, and closed large engagements (€1M+ range), not just delivered them 
  • Able to carry a revenue target and account for pipeline independently 
  • Comfortable leading proposals, responding to RFPs, and navigating complex procurement processes 
  • Leadership & Delivery 
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across strategy, technology, and change workstreams 
  • Capable of serving as the “client owner”; accountable for relationship, quality, and commercial outcomes simultaneously 
  • Experience contributing to practice development and developing junior staff - methodology, talent, proposition design - beyond individual project delivery 

 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Dutch language - full professional proficiency is a plus 
  • Pre-existing senior relationships at wealth or asset managers in the Netherlands
  • Understanding of the Dutch regulatory environment (DNB, AFM) and how it shapes transformation agendas
