The Opportunity
Our Technology Strategy & Transformation (TST) practice is rapidly expanding to support major Financial Services (FS) clients across the region. We are seeking a high-performing Senior Manager with deep FS sector expertise—particularly in Core and Corporate Banking—to lead complex consulting engagements, oversee delivery, manage senior stakeholders, and drive business development and pursuits.
This role requires an individual who can operate autonomously, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to building EY’s presence in the FS market. You will lead end-to-end strategy engagements, shape client transformation journeys, and play a key role in winning new work.
Your Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Client Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technology and transformation strategies for major Financial Services clients (banks, digital banking units, fin‑techs).
- Support and lead business development pursuits, including bid management, proposal creation, solution shaping, and client presentations.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior FS stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, digital leaders, and business executives.
- Drive assessment of current-state technology landscapes, Core Banking platforms, digital channels, and enterprise architecture maturity.
- Develop actionable transformation roadmaps, target operating models, and technology investment plans.
- Ensure all engagements deliver measurable business value aligned with client objectives.
Delivery & Engagement Management
- Lead large-scale FS transformation programs—Core Banking modernization, digital channels, cloud adoption, API strategy, and enterprise architecture initiatives.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, resourcing, risk management, and status reporting.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, engagement governance, and delivery excellence across all workstreams.
- Provide expert guidance on emerging technologies, architecture patterns, and FS innovation trends.
- Drive integration across business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
Leadership & People Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior consultants, senior consultants, and managers within the practice.
- Foster a collaborative and high‑performance team culture.
- Contribute to capability building within the TST competency, including FS methodologies, accelerators, and thought leadership.
- Support internal initiatives, knowledge sharing, and practice development activities.
Skills & Attributes for Success
- Strong understanding of the Financial Services sector, especially Core Banking, Corporate Banking, digital channels, and enterprise architecture.
- Proven ability to lead pursuits and proposals independently, including solution design and pricing.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, managing competing priorities and complex client environments.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring team members.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Business (master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- 10–12+ years of experience in technology consulting, with a minimum of 5+ years in the Financial Services industry.
- Prior experience in Big 4 or top-tier consulting firms.
- Demonstrated experience leading large FS transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of Core/Corporate Banking systems, FS architecture, and technology strategy.
- Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
Ideally, You Will Also Have
- Experience working with government or regulatory bodies in the FS domain.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, TOGAF, ITIL, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Lean Six Sigma).
- Experience with cloud platforms, integration architectures, and digital banking solutions.
