Job Summary:

 

This role manages immigration activities for employees and their dependents joining, leaving, or transferring between offices in the Levant cluster in MENA. Responsibilities include facilitating the labor cards, work permits, employment visas, residence permits, relevant licenses, and regulatory processes to ensure smooth business operations and compliance with local labour and immigration laws.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

 

  • Oversee the Immigration Teams and refine the Immigration processes within the Levant cluster.
  • Monitor application statuses and ensure the team regularly updates Transition Management Tool (TMT) to ensure the relevant stakeholders are kept informed on their application status.
  • Track the team's SLA and KPI on the PBI dashboard to ensure constant compliance.
  • Stay informed on the latest changes in Immigration and Labour policies, and provide timely updates to the pertinent stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments for new projects, highlighting potential risks to management before deployment.
  • Create and develop process documents for all internal procedures within the office and regions under your cluster.
  • Develop relationships both internally and externally with governmental authorities, identifying opportunities and managing expectations.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of immigration projects and adhere to the required Quality and Risk Management processes within the Levant cluster.
  • Supervise the entire pension process within the Levant cluster, mitigating risks and ensuring full compliance.
  • Handle the issuance and renewal of all work permit and visa types for employees across all service lines within the Levant cluster.
  • Address and support any inquiries from senior management and employees, offering guidance based on best practices.
  • Oversee inspection visits by government officials to the EY offices across the Levant cluster.
  • Supervise the renewal of Auditors Registration & Partners Auditors Certificate, Trade Licenses, Immigration and labor permits for all entities within your office and regions in the Levant cluster, ensuring        compliance and timely completion in coordination with the Legal team when necessary.
  • Guide, train, and motivate team members to consistently deliver outstanding service.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with key stakeholders by consistently providing high-quality customer service.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

 

  • Excellent English and Arabic language skills (written and verbal)

Job Requirements:

 

Education:

 

  • A bachelor's or post-graduate degree in Human Resource Management or related field

Experience:

 

  • 5 - 6 years experience in a similar role within a HR team in Jordan or Egypt.
  • Working knowledge of Labour and Immigration requirements in Levant locations.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel with strong attention to detail.
