Job description
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic-minded professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in revenue analytics, revenue assurance, and financial data analysis, particularly in the utility, energy, and telecom sectors.
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for leading data-driven initiatives, conducting in-depth analysis, and developing business cases to support key decision-making processes. You will play a critical role in optimizing revenue streams, identifying financial risks, and ensuring data integrity across business operations. This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and business acumen to drive insights and recommendations that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
Experience in revenue analytics, revenue assurance, or financial fraud investigations—particularly in the utility, energy, and telecom sectors—is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead forensic data analytics projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables within set timelines.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on technical and analytical methodologies.
- Design, execute, and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from various sources.
- Develop advanced data models and metrics to uncover fraud risks, anomalies, and suspicious patterns.
- Oversee and conduct complex financial, statistical, and forensic analyses, including due diligence, litigation support, and investigative assignments.
- Leverage forensic data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R) to support fraud investigations and compliance reviews.
- Ensure data integrity and governance, implementing best practices in data handling, transformation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and risk management to drive strategic insights.
- Present findings to senior leadership and clients, translating data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of forensic methodologies, frameworks, and automation solutions for improved efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in forensic investigations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Forensics, Statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong understanding of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Proven experience with data governance, data management, and data integration practices.
- Ability to manage large datasets and complex data models.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, forensic investigations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading projects and managing teams in a consulting or corporate setting.
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, R, and ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau Prep).
- Strong command of DAX and Power Query (M).
- Proficiency in BI & data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and experience with data storytelling.
- Experience in fraud detection, forensic accounting, or financial analysis is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present technical findings to a non-technical audience.
- Certifications in fraud, forensics, or analytics (e.g., CFE, CFA, CMA, Tableau Certified Professional, Power BI Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
- Consulting experience is preferred.
