The Opportunity

 

As we continue to grow our Emerging Tech and AI network and position for the best partnerships to drive us forward, we need an Emerging Tech Ecosystem Relationship Director who can work to identify emerging tech and AI companies that should be incorporated into the EY Partner Ecosystem. Will establish and manage the day to day aspects of AI partnerships – including relationship collaboration and governance, alliance program oversight, contracts and compliance management and performance intelligence. The Emerging Tech Ecosystem Director plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and innovation within the artificial intelligence market. This is a great opportunity to work with people across the globe as well as across multiple service lines and sectors.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

Your role will sit within the Alliance and Ecosystem team within our Global Growth & Innovation pillar.   Your role will also be closely connected with our AI team as well as the CTO network. This position involves strategically building and managing partnerships among diverse stakeholders, including technology providers, research institutions, and industry leaders. By facilitating knowledge sharing and resource exchange, you will aim to drive the development of cutting-edge technology solutions that address complex challenges. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying emerging trends, aligning ecosystem initiatives with EY goals, and promoting best practices to ensure sustainable growth and competitive advantage in the rapidly evolving tech market.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include:

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision for emerging tech ecosystem initiatives within the organization, aligning with overall business goals.

  • Ecosystem Development: Foster partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders, including technology providers, research institutions, and industry consortia to enhance the emerging tech ecosystem.

  • Relationship Management: Facilitate top-to-top emerging tech alliance relationships and program management to mobilize on sales plans, craft joint opportunities and market activity, and drive action through internal and external organizations.

  • Go-to-Market Activation: Work with Go-to-Market Alliance Leadership to develop emerging tech business cases, use cases, opportunities and sales plans.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all emerging tech initiatives comply with relevant regulations, ethical standards, and best practices in data privacy and security, closely collaborating with Ecosystem Relationship Enablement function on formation efforts.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (kpis) to assess the effectiveness and impact of emerging tech initiatives on business performance.

  • Research and Development: Encourage and support R&D efforts by alliance partners to explore new emerging tech methodologies and applications that can benefit internal and external clients .

  • Thought Leadership: Represent the organization at industry conferences, seminars, and forums, positioning the company as a leader in Emerging Tech innovation.

Skills and Attributes for Success

 

To succeed in the role, you must have:

 

  • Experience in alliance management or business development for technology or professional services company

  • Experience and evidence of success in building and nurturing win-win alliance relationships

  • Strong executive presence and ability to build and sustain client / Alliance relationships at the highest levels of the firm and with C-suite clients.

  • Expert versatility and adaptability skills. Strong collaboration skills. Appreciation of cross cultures and the importance of diversity.

  • Strong people, change, and stakeholder management experience.

  • Strong interpersonal communication and influencing skills with the confidence and maturity to build relationships and work with various leadership teams

  • Effective business leadership, client leadership, team leadership and personal leadership skills, with a strong personal brand.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously through effective prioritization, organization, flexibility and time management

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and facilitation skills

What we offer
 
The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges. 
 
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $178,600 to $353,600. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $214,300 to $401,800 . Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
