What if we didn’t focus on who you are now, but who you could become?

At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart.

We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world.

What’s in it for you?

We are looking for a Consultant to join our Strategy and Transactions – Infrastructure Advisory team in Adelaide. Our team is working on some of the largest infrastructure projects in SA and Australia across the infrastructure and program lifecycle – including policy and strategy development, financial and commercial analysis, taking transactions to market, negotiation and execution and providing ongoing contract support and asset management advice.

By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work across all major infrastructure sectors, including transport, health and human services, education and energy and power and utilities.

Your key responsibilities

  • Build and/or use financial and/or economic models (i.e. some familiarity with excel is preferred)

  • Draft clear, well written and easy to understand reports and presentations

  • Provide economic, commercial, financial and strategic advice to clients in consultation with senior staff and partners

  • Support management of engagements by ensuring that work products and services are oriented to each client’s needs, and are clear, accurate and well presented

  • Help manage internal budgets and administration requirements and ensure quality, independence and risk management protocols are followed

  • Support business development activities including the preparation of proposals

  • Build relationships across EY, with clients and other industry professionals.

What we’re looking for

Here’s our ‘wish list’, but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • Professional experience in a relevant role or sector. For example, this experience could have been gained in an accounting or law firm, management consultancy, engineering practice, infrastructure firm, private sector industry participant, or within any level of government

  • A strong interest in infrastructure; experience in the economic, commercial and financial aspects of transport, social infrastructure, major transactions and/or energy markets

  • Willingness to apply your skills across multiple sectors and multiple disciplines

  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in internal and external forums

  • Advanced report writing, analysis, ability to think non-linearly and strategically when problem solving and utilise general commercial skills and acumen

  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects / people concurrently, and effectively prioritise competing demands

  • A proactive, supportive and respectful approach to their team, and able to function under pressure but also demonstrate judgment in asking for help when required.
