The opportunity
EY is recruiting for Managers to join our Technology Risk team at various offices across MENA. You will be responsible to serve our clients as part of our teams across MENA offices. This position brings significant travel opportunities since EY operates a regional model with all consultants operating as one team across the region.
Your key responsibilities
As a Manager within EY’s Digital Risk practice, you will be expected to lead and support client engagements across technology risk, digital trust, cyber, data, cloud, emerging technology, resilience, governance and compliance. You will work with clients to identify risks, design practical solutions, strengthen control environments and enable technology-enabled transformation with confidence.
- Client delivery and engagement management
- Lead and manage Digital Risk engagements across the full delivery lifecycle, including planning, stakeholder engagement, fieldwork, analysis, solution development, reporting and executive presentations.
- Own defined workstreams and deliverables, ensuring quality, timeliness and alignment with client expectations.
- Maintain effective communication with senior team members, partners and client stakeholders, providing timely updates on engagement progress, risks, issues and decisions.
- Strategic advisory and solution design
- Help clients assess and manage risks across digital transformation, cloud adoption, emerging technologies, AI, data platforms, cybersecurity, resilience and core system modernization.
- Analys client problems and structure clear workplans, risk considerations and practical solution options.
- Support in the design of risk-enabled operating models, governance frameworks, controls, processes and reporting mechanisms that are proportionate to client needs and maturity.
- Translate complex technical findings into business-relevant insights, actionable recommendations and executive-level narratives.
- Risk, governance and control expertise
- Assess technology risks across applications, infrastructure, data, cloud, cyber, third parties, resilience, ERP environments and transformation programs.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT general controls, application controls, automated controls, access controls, change management, incident management and data integrity controls.
- Support clients in strengthening digital compliance, technology governance, risk management, control monitoring and three-lines-of-defense operating models.
- Apply relevant frameworks, standards and leading practices, such as ISO, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, SOC, cybersecurity, privacy, cloud and technology risk management frameworks, where relevant to client needs.
- Program and stakeholder management
- Support large-scale transformation and risk programs by coordinating activities, tracking dependencies, managing risks and ensuring alignment between business objectives and risk/control requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with senior business, technology, cyber, data, compliance and risk stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships with clients by demonstrating sector understanding, practical judgement and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Business development and market-facing activities
- Support partners and senior executives in identifying, qualifying and pursuing market opportunities across Digital Risk and broader consulting services.
- Contribute to account planning, pipeline development, proposal preparation, RFP responses, client presentations and commercial discussions.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand EY’s support to existing and prospective clients based on emerging risks, transformation priorities and regulatory developments.
- People leadership and practice development
- Coach, supervise and review the work of junior team members, helping them develop consulting, analytical, technical and client-facing skills.
- Contribute to the development of methodologies, accelerators, proposal content, thought leadership and internal knowledge assets.
- Promote a high-performance team culture focused on quality, accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.
As a manager:
- Everything you will be involved in comes down to providing excellent customer service and helping our teams do the same. Whether it is working with multiple client teams, advising the clients on IT Risk related matters, or assisting executives with business development activities across various sectors, you will build strong relationships and become a trusted advisor to your MENA clients.
- You will participate in MENA engagements, working effectively as a team lead or a team member, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress. You will assist in client service delivery, participate in all assigned tasks, and assist in preparing reports that will be delivered to clients and other parties.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related discipline. Alternatively, a degree in business, accounting, finance, with additional IT qualifications.
- Approximately 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in technology risk, digital risk, IT audit, cyber risk, data governance, cloud risk, digital transformation risk, technology consulting, internal controls, assurance or related advisory roles.
- Experience leading or managing client engagements, including planning, delivery coordination, stakeholder management, quality review and preparation of client-ready deliverables.
- Ability to assess risks and design practical governance, control, process and reporting solutions across complex technology environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop clear insights and recommend pragmatic actions.
- Relevant experience areas include, but not limited to, IT Risk assessment and management, Digital Trust, Mobile Technology assessments, Emerging Technologies (Robotics, IoT, Cloud and Blockchain), ERP control validations (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), systems and networking technologies, IT/Business process and internal control assessments, internal audit engagements, external audit integration, application of data analytics, and/or third-party reporting, etc.
- Experience supporting business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal development, client presentations and account planning.
- Fluent Arabic and/or English communication skills at a professional level.
- Strong verbal and written communication with out of box thinking abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CGEIT, CIA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, ISO 22301, PMP, TOGAF, cloud security certifications or other relevant credentials.
- Experience working in a Big 4, professional services, consulting, technology, financial services, telecom, government or highly regulated environment.
- Experience designing or implementing risk and control frameworks, technology governance models, control automation, compliance monitoring, GRC solutions or digital risk operating models.
- Exposure to large-scale digital transformation, cloud migration, ERP transformation, data governance, AI governance, cyber transformation, resilience or technology modernization programs.
