Senior - Data & Technology Risk - Assurance

Job Purpose: 

As a Senior Data Analytics & IT Audit Specialist in Data & Technology Risk, you will play a hands-on technical role in delivering data analytics and IT audit solutions to support risk assurance and audit engagements across various industry sectors. You will leverage advanced analytics and IT audit skills, with a strong emphasis on SQL, to extract, transform, and analyse complex datasets, assess IT controls, and provide actionable insights for audit and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Dat Analytics

• Technical Data Analytics Delivery: Lead the technical execution of data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL and other analytics tools to support audit and risk assurance projects.
• Data Quality & Assurance: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used in audits through rigorous validation and cleansing processes.
• Advanced Analytics & Automation: Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions, including automation of data processes and reporting.
• Reporting & Visualization: Prepare clear, concise reports and visualizations (using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or Python) to communicate findings to stakeholders.

IT Audit

• IT Audit Execution: Participate in IT audit engagements, including the assessment of IT environments, evaluation of IT risks and controls, and testing of IT general and application controls.
• Collaboration: Work closely with audit teams and IT risk professionals to understand data and IT audit requirements, design analytics and audit approaches, and deliver insights.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data analytics and IT audit methodologies, tools, and processes for greater efficiency and impact.
• Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Accounting with strong IT Interest or a related field.

• Expected CGPA of a Second Class Upper and above.

• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications.
• 5+ years of experience in IT risk assurance, data analytics, and audit support, with a strong focus on managerial roles.
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with audit standards and security frameworks such as COBIT, SOX, ISO27001/2, and ISO22301.
• Experience with emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques, including SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, and SQL.
• Ability to interpret and analyse complex data sets to drive strategic decision-making.
