People Advisory Services (PAS) - Senior
Job purpose:
As a People Advisory Services (PAS) Senior, you will support managers in providing clients with operational support in employment tax advisory, payroll administration, immigration and people-related regulatory compliance matters. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day execution of client engagements and coordinating client deliverables and supporting clients in managing their workforce effectively while ensuring compliance with applicable tax, pension, immigration and other statutory requirements.
Your client responsibilities:
Global Mobility and Immigration
- Support expatriate and inbound/outbound employee assignments.
- Assist with work permits, residence permits, visas and immigration compliance matters.
- Advise on cross-border employment and mobility issues.
- Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies where necessary to deliver on client specific engagements or opportunities.
Employment Tax and Payroll Advisory
- Assist clients with payroll management.
- Review payroll processes and employment tax compliance.
- Advise on PAYE, pensions, employee benefits and expatriate tax matters.
- Conduct employment tax health checks and compliance reviews.
- Assist clients with tax audits and engagements involving employment-related taxes.
- Assist individuals with the preparation and filing of their annual personal income tax returns
Advisory
- Advise clients on tax workforce-related matters, including employment, compensation, benefits and mobility.
- Advise clients on employment withholding tax compliance, process efficiency and dispute resolution and mitigation of penalties and interest.
- Conduct research on tax, pension, immigration, and related regulatory developments affecting clients.
Compliance and Regulatory Advisory
- Monitor changes in tax, pension, investment and immigration legislation.
- Prepare client alerts, technical updates and advisory memoranda.
- Assist clients in meeting statutory and regulatory obligations relating to employees.
Project Management and Client Service
- Manage multiple client engagements and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Prepare proposals, reports, presentations and client deliverables.
- Review work prepared by junior team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, technical quality and alignment with client requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective client and regulator relationships.
Business Development
- Participate in preparing proposals and service offering materials.
- Support marketing and thought leadership initiatives.
- Contribute to seminars, workshops and client training sessions.

Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field from a recognised Tertiary Institution
- A degree in law or similar will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in employment tax, payroll, mobility, immigration, advisory services or similar regulatory work, with demonstrated experience supervising junior staff or coordinating engagement teams.
- Understanding of labour laws, immigration laws, pension regulations, tax laws and employment practices.
- Developed relevant relationships with regulatory authorities as necessary and permissible

- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independentlyand contribute effectively within a team environment.
