Manager - Data & Technology Risk - Assurance

Job Purpose: 

As Manager Data Analytics & IT Audit Specialist in Data & Technology Risk, you will play a hands-on technical role in delivering data analytics and IT audit solutions to support risk assurance and audit engagements across various industry sectors. You will leverage advanced analytics and IT audit skills, with a strong emphasis on SQL, to extract, transform, and analyse complex datasets, assess IT controls, and provide actionable insights for audit and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of data analysts and IT auditors, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for data analytics and IT risk assurance services, aligning with organizational goals and client needs.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their IT environments, risks, and controls, and providing strategic insights to enhance their operations.
• Project Management: Oversee multiple audit engagements, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and compliance with industry standards.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance processes for data analytics, ensuring accuracy and reliability in audit findings and recommendations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation, driving efficiency and effectiveness in audit methodologies and data analysis.
• Training and Development: Lead training initiatives for team members, ensuring continuous professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Business Development: Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing client relationships in the data analytics and IT risk assurance space.
• Reporting and Insights: Prepare and present comprehensive reports to management and clients, summarizing audit findings, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, , Accounting with strong IT Interest or a related field.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications.
• 8+ years of experience in IT risk assurance, data analytics, and audit support, with a strong focus on managerial roles.
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with audit standards and security frameworks such as COBIT, SOX, ISO27001/2, and ISO22301.
• Experience with emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques, including SQL,Power BI, Alteryx, Python, and SQL.
• Ability to interpret and analyse complex data sets to drive strategic decision-making.
