Mercuryの導入に伴い、EY税理士法人（EYTAX）に「リードPFA」という新しい職務が生まれます。

リードPFAは財務およびビジネスポリシー、ツール、ベストプラクティスの最前線に立ちEYTAX のエンゲージメントとプロジェクトの戦略的な財務および事業管理と分析を支援しEYTAXのリーダーシップを効果的にサポートします。

リードPFAはEYTAX内に配置され、EYTAXの財務実績を深く理解し、エンゲージメントマージンに重点を置き、その洞察を活用して、マージンパフォーマンスの向上につながるイニシアチブと事業戦略の形成を支援していただきます。

リードPFAは、PPEDsとそのチームに対して、複雑性と重要性のあるパースート、エンゲージメント、ポートフォリオのレベルで高度な事業、財務、コンサルティングのスキルを駆使して、マージンを最適化するためのアドバイスを提供するエキスパートとなっていただきます。

また、EYTAX のコマーシャルマネジメントチームの重要な一員である財務税務チームアシスタントの指導に役立つ、実績のあるコーチングスキルも備えていることも期待されます。

業務内容 / Responsibilities

サービスラインおよびサブサービスラインレベルの専門知識

● SSLのエンゲージメントおよびクライアントレベルのマージン、収益認識、在庫パフォーマンスに関連するビジネスの洞察を提供する

● 本質的に複雑、ユニーク、重要なシナリオやポートフォリオに注力する

● EYTAX のリーダーシップと PAP へのサポートとアドバイスを向上させるためのソリューションの形成やアドホックなプロジェクトの推進を支援する

Job Title

Lead Portfolio Finance Advisor (Lead PFA)

The opportunity

The Lead PFA will sit within EYTAX and have a deep understanding of EYTAX’s financial performance with a strong focus on engagement margins, leveraging their insights to help shape initiatives and commercial strategies that will lead to improved margin performance.

The Lead PFA will be an expert in advising PPEDs and their teams which optimizes margin at pursuit, engagement, or portfolio level where there is the complexity and materiality, drawing on strong commercial, financial and consulting skills.

They will also have proven coaching skills to help guide the Finance Tax Team Assistants, an important part of EYTAX’s Commercial Management Team.

Your key responsibilities

Service Line and Sub-Service Line Level Expertise

● Provide business insight related to SSLs’ engagement and client level margin, revenue recognition and inventory performance

● Focus on scenarios and portfolios that are complex, unique and material in nature

● Support to shape solutions and/or drive ad-hoc projects that improve support and advice to EYTAX leadership and PAPs

● Share forward looking margin and business insights gained from working closely with the business and PFAs to ensure EYTAX leadership is equipped with the knowledge to drive better business decisions 

● Proactive oversight by exception to support improved financial performance in modelling pricing scenarios right through to the end of the engagement lifecycle where there is complexity and materiality

● Provide on demand financial advisory support because of complex queries from EYTAX leadership

● Create and lead a PFA team which can support the above scaled up

Teaming

● Teams with the EYTAX’s Finance function to foster positive and collaborative relationships, knowledge sharing, agree priorities and shaping of strategies that will improve margin performance

● Works closely with the EYTAX’s Commercial Management Lead to shape training strategies to strengthen the team’s competencies to ensure exceptional client service to the business

● Coaches the Finance TTAs through experiential learning and identification of stretch opportunities to help them to achieve their full potential

Drives continuous improvement

● Shapes new solutions, implement best practices and processes to optimize EYTAX partners’ financial performance

● Invests in staying connected with the business in order to share knowledge, collaborate and drive business focus

● Networks with fellow PFAs and strategic finance folk globally within EY network to share knowledge, collaborate and implement best practice

● Stays up to date with the firm’s latest policies, processes and tools and proposes recommendations where there is a need

Skills and attributes for success

Strong financial, business and commercial acumen

● Proven financial and commercial acumen of advising on complex and/or material scenarios

● Strong knowledge of EY’s financial tools and processes

To qualify for this role, you must have

● Preference for minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience in a managerial commercial and/or financial role

● Strong financial acumen with a proven ability to influence commercial drivers of business performance

● Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to challenge mind sets and status quo with senior stakeholders and maintain resilience at all times

Ideally, you’ll also have

● A recognized global accounting and/or finance qualification
